Squeaky Blue Hippo vs Sneaky Snake

Hello, everyone.  It's me, Cam.  The following photos and video are actually from a couple weeks ago; we kept meaning to share them, but we were OBEd (overcome by events).  There's no time like the present, though - right?  Right!  So let's see what happens when a hippo goes up against a snake.  Or in our case, Squeaky Blue Hippo versus Sneaky Snake.

Everything was going fine at first.  Mom let us play with our "under supervision only" toys and we were having fun.  Mags and Mom were playing Fetch with Squeaky Blue Hippo and Sneaky Snake and I were in the corner on one of our beds:

"SQUEAK!!!  SQUEAK!!!"
"Gotcha, Squeaky Blue Hippo!!!"
"Ssssssay, Cam.  What'ssssss Maggie up to?"
"If you know what's good for you, Sneaky, you'll just stay right here with me!"

The sitzbank isn't usually there - this was when we were having our door replaced. Anyway, everything other than the sitzbank situation was normal ...

"Got your ear, Squeaky Blue!"
"SQUEAK!  SQUEAK!!!"

... and then ...

"Wait ... what does Cam have?"
"SQUEAK?"

"Fa la la la la la la...."
"Uh oh..."

I'm not sure who tipped Maggie off that I was playing with Sneaky Snake.  It might have been that Abe Lincoln guy in the photo above - I don't know.  But when she saw I had Sneaky with me ... well, check it out:

Yep. Sneaky Snake trumps Squeaky Blue Hippo. Who knew?

"Stay with me, Sneaky.  I'll keep you safe."
"Thanksssssss, Cammie."

And that is what happens when a hippo goes up against a snake.

Cammie!

  6. Mags, even though I'm old and don't always feel that great, I do the same thing if Otto has a toy I want. Sometimes if I get it away from him I bark at him with the toy in my mouth. Mom tells me not to bark with my mouth full!! BOL!!!
