Our Lovely Walk

Hello, everyone!  It's me, Cammie.  Maggie and I have been taking Mom and Dad on some really nice, tranquil walks lately.  It's so good to get out in the cold air, stretch our legs, and enjoy the peacefulness of the morning.  Yesterday, we decided to go on the route that takes us across an undisturbed meadow, through the woods, past the Kansas Ocean, then up the hill to the water tower and home.  Doesn't that sound lovely?  It's one of our favorite routes.

Here we are at our corner:

"Let's go right here!"
"Please, Mom and Dad!?!?"

They often let us help choose the route, which helps keep our walks more interesting for all of us!

Here we are heading across the meadow, toward the woods:

"Isn't this just peaceful as can be?"
"It sure is, Maggie!"

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Only one way to make it even more serene!"

"BOOM!"
"Uffff!"

She was a little faster on the draw than I had expected.  Still - what a great way to enhance our lovely walk!

"Great times, Cam.  Great times!"
"The best!"

Do you have fun like this on your walks?!?

Cammie!

  1. Wow, what a pretty walkie! I love them too. I like to cross back and forth in front of my peeps so that my rope makes an obstacle course for them. Then a few random stops will really trip them up. BOL. Gotta keep them on their toes. Looks like you both had a great time and your weather was nice!

  3. We aren't walking right now because of all the snow, but when we do Hunter loves to pretend he is a snow dog-in that for the first block he runs and would run more if I ran too. That wouldn't be a nice site, so I just try to power walk with him. Hope you have a great weekend.

  4. What a fun walk full of sun and surprises. You two are so funny.
Mom walks, Kasi, our neighbor's border collie, on days when she is working late. Today was one of those days.
Mom has determined Kasi is a popular lady...she has to read lots of pee mail and every so often her ears stand at attention like she is hearing a distant call of the wild

  6. Oh yes, sometimes Jessie will start dancing around during our walks. It makes Momma laugh, then she gets to spend some extra quality time getting licked while she untangles our leashes.

  10. You have a beautiful area to walk...I am not a fan of walks...if Mom and Dad take me in the car someplace to walk then I don't mind it so much. But I don't like walking where we live. Barks and licks and love, Dakota
