I send Mom a mental reminder that it's Greenies Night. She looks at me and caves because ... well, let's just say I have a certain power over her. We go to the magic closet, AKA the pantry, and Mom reaches down to get the box. I always come in, do a little cat stretch between her legs, then stand there to supervise -- like so:

I wait while she gets two out, then I run into the living room to tell Maggie! She joins me in the kitchen, and we line up while Mom comes out of the pantry.

She gives us our Greenies, then we run with them into the living room and chew them on our beds. One of these days we'll try to get Mom to get a shot of us actually chewing them, but truthfully, by the time she makes it into the other room, we're almost done. Maybe we should get Dad to give it a go.
Anyway, we sure do love our Greenies! Do you have a favorite occasional treat? Let us know!

ReplyDeleteMy new favorite thing is something mom invented. Once a day she'll crush about 4 or 5 of my Cranberry and Salmon treats then spread them over the top of my delicious Fancy Feast Pate...she calls it a Feline Sundae. I just call it yummy

We too love greenies, but Mom says we love them too much. They are gone way too fast to do any good for our toofers:) Sheesh, they still taste good:) We hope she gets the message from you about the need for this special treat.

ReplyDeleteWait a minute, you have ONE Greenies Night per week? Seriously? We have Greenies Night EVERY SINGLE NIGHT at 6pm and have for YEARS! lol. If we don't give Dakota his Greenie at 6pm he makes sure we know about it!
