ROOF!

Hi everybody!  It's me, Ragnar.  This week, oh.  Wait.  No.  Maggie thought maybe because of the title of the post, you might think we've learned to bark or something.  No.  We're both quiet.  Well, I'm quiet.  Maggie is prone to delivering important political speeches.  But I meant "roof" like the top of our house.  This week, we had guys climbing all over our roof going BANG BANG BANG from about 0700-2000 hours.  It was very noisy.  And people-y.  And lots of machinery making noise.  And other stuff!

Maggie and I both were "very good" and "very brave", according to Mom and Dad.  I have to say, now that they're gone ...

"Ahhhh....!  Sweet serenity!"

... I'm really enjoying the peace and quiet! Have you ever had your roof replaced? Did the people go BANG BANG BANG all day?

And yes, that's Mags with me. We like to snuggle.

Sköl!
Ragnar

  1. Oh yes! It was very noisy! and yes, people-y. And, to Ma's surprise, I was okay too! Being a terrierist, we are prone to the bark bark bark. That's in our DNA after all! Butts, after a while, it's boring, so I just too a nap. Anyhu, glads you gurls are able to gets some good snoozin' nows!

  2. Oh yes, we sure did, and they almost caused a catastrophe here. After the guys who delivered the shingles left, Mom heard this ghastly noise. She had just been in the front with the three grands, when they were all under the age of 5. They had just gone home with their Mom. Our Mom looked out the front door, and lo and behold, all the bags of shingles had slid off the roof and landed right where Mom and the little ones had just been standing. A day never to forget. After that, YES, it was so loud for days on end. Plus they really make a mess of the yard. Hope it wasn't too bad for your beautiful gardens.

  4. We had that noise here a few years ago too. We've also had some sky lights replaced that had men walking and banging on our roof too. It's always nice when all that craziness is over.

  7. Ragnar...this was funny
Maggie is prone to delivering important political speeches. We ladies are rarely quiet which is why you Men can't say much.

  8. My goodness, we would not have liked that at all! We live in a rowhouse and next door is getting taken down to the studs for renovation. Our mom just puts on headphones, but what are we supposed to do?
