We're Smitten!

... with this mitten!

Woo, everypup and everycat.  It's me, Dave!  Did you all see that our pals Mitch and Molly had a Christmas give-away over on their blog a while ago?  We were incredibly blessed last year to receive one of their mom's gorgeous handmade mittens ... and now guess what?!?  We won another mini-mitten this year!!!  We let them know that it was OK if they wanted to pick another winner, but they already had put it in the mail!  WOW!  We are doubly blessed!!!

Here's how the whole thing went down.  Zim helped Mom bring the mail in and announced that there was a package for us!

"Dave!  Dave!  It's for us!"
(Remember to fuzz out addresses when you post to your blog!)

He went ahead and opened it; he's a little more careful with stuff like that than I am.

"I smell Airedales!  It's gotta be from Mitch and Molly!"

How exciting!

"There's a real pretty Christmas card, too!  Come check it out!"

I was ... um ... checking the pilot light for the gas fireplace.  Yeah, that's it.  You know.  A little Winter safety check.  I got up and moved over to where Zimmie was.

"This ... is ... sooooo beautiful!"

A beautiful, deep red mitten - just for me and Zim!  Isn't it special!?!  I can't wait to hang it on our tree!  Of course, someone's going to have to put the tree up first ... Mom!!!  (Just pointing out that exactly one year ago today we posted about receiving our blue mitten and the house was already decked out for Christmas.  Ahem!)

Many, many thanks to Mitch and Molly and their incredibly talented Mom!  We really are smitten with this mitten!  Such lovely detail, a yummy, deep color that we love, and a great reminder of dear friends!!!  We love you guys!!!

Luv,
Dave

  1. That is a GREAT mitten. You should hang it up right away. Oh wait...your tree is not up yet. Well I am sure your MOM will get right on that right away. Can't have a mitten jut laying around with nowhere to hang it. That just would not be right. I am sure I will soon be seeing a tree with a mitten on it.

  3. The problem with decorating is that it's been so warm, we've wanted to get out the spring decorations!

Now that it's cooling down, you all can decorate!
