Photo Finish Friday

Hey everypup and everykitten!  It's me - Zim!  I've got a great story to tell you today!

So there we were the other evening...

Oh, wait.  Before I tell you what happened, we ALL would like to say many, many thanks to our dear friends known collectively as the Bumpass Hounds and Cats for presenting us with this award:

That is so special!  Thanks, you guys!!!  We are very honored!

I didn't want to forget about that - it's just so COOL!  Anyway, there we were...

OK, umm... hold up, please.  Everyone's favorite (and the world's most dependable) Meteorologist, Ammy, wanted me to show you these cool pix she had Mom take late yesterday  afternoon:

Pretty impressive, huh?  Here's a closer look:

Those guys had some friends join them later and we had quite the house-rocking sound and light show during the wee hours of the morning.  I slept through most of it, but Stormy made sure Mom got up to enjoy it all.  Wasn't that thoughtful?

Anyway... so there we were, having a great --- what?  I'm almost out of time?  OK, I'll cut to the chase.  (Good choice of words there.)  Let's just say there was some zooming and some wrestling and some not being able to see or hear the TV the other night and some more zooming ... and somesibes got put in time-outs.

Dave in his time-out, by Dad's feety-feet

Dave should really learn to listen when the bipeds say, "Enough!" shouldn't he?  I mean, seriously.  He's the one who started everything!

What?!!?  You don't believe me?

Hmm... let me think about what happened...

Engage Zim-stigation mode in 3... 2... 1...

Yeah.  You all could be right.  Sometimes those instincts just kick in and I have no control over what happens.

Me in my time-out.
Hrumph!

Play bows,
Zim

PS:  Don't forget about the cool competition over on my bestest friend Huffle's blog!

  1. Congrats on your award! Good thing those clouds only brought noise and a light show and not anything worse. It's good that Stormy made sure your mom enjoyed it. As for the time out, I would think your zooming and wrestling would be way more fun to watch than anything on TV so how could that warrant a time out? Maybe your dad could get a DVR so he can pawse the TV while you wrestle. That way he won't miss either show!

  5. Beawootiful clouds! You mom is quite the photographer! Congrats on the award, too. And we believe woo had nothing to do with any of the ruckus. Too bad woo got a time out for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

  6. What a beautiful pic of clouds, too bad they were followed by that nasty storm stuff.

Somehow we think you got the worse part of the time out - why did Dave earn Dad's feety feet and you got a door?

    Woos, the OP pack

Bailey didnt have her lead on whilst driving - her feet didnt reach the pedals on the floor so she had to have paw controls fitted to the steering wheel!!!

  12. Hmmmm. First we hear "Enough." And then we get invited to "go outside." Or we get "time-outs." Is there a connection?

  14. If you get to spend times outs by watching out the window or snuggling with your dad's feet, why do I always have to spend time outs in my kennel?

  15. Poor Zimmie. I can't believe you got put in a time out. Doesn't your mum know it was probably all Davy's fault? Yet he's the one who got to sit with dad! That does not seem fair to me.

  19. First of all congrats on your lovely award, Zim. Sorry to read you have had some time outs, but these things happen.

Dave remember is a Lab Sibe, so things are always going to be lively with him around, take it from me, being half lab and all.

Not sure though which half of me is lab, front or back, I will have to ask Jeannie! However, one thing I know, Labs have no idea of the meaning of the word "enough", whether it be zooming or wrestling, or eating come to that!!

Your pics of the skies were so lovely too. When I first saw them, I barked "Heavens Above" very loudly.

We have had some Mouse Problems here, I have no idea why Mouse Problems prevent us from commenting or blogging, but My J says The Mouse In Question has now drunk in the Last Chance Saloon.

I have no idea what she is barking about.

  20. No way Zim....I don't believe you started it! How could that cute face of yours cause any trouble!! ;) Muhahahaha....ok, the cute ones most often do start it but I will never tell anyone. :) Hope your time-out was short. We had a thunderstorm here last week and we never have them. I wasn't even scared and Mom loved it because she misses them....she had them lots where she grew up. :)

    Have a great weekend!

  21. I never understand why the humans don't appreciate listening to growling, wrestling, and zoomies. It's just the sound of pure joy and yet they want to stop it!

    Heye AO4,
We're glad you like your award. Our new foster is taking a lot of dad's time. he's got another week of quarantine. We never, get time-out here. Well hardly ever, Well maybe occassionally. Perhaps more frequently than is adviseable. We don't seem to get a lot of warning when one is coming, it's kinda like a real sudden decision. Clouds are OK as long as they ain't funnel shaped.
