Woo everypup and everycat, it's me - Dave! This post is dedicated to our friends over at Jan's Funny Farm. On the post I made a week ago today, the one I called Wubba Time, they left a comment that read, "Okay, we love the shots of you having fun. But what in the world is a wubba?" Woo, you pups! And you kitties! It's a really great toy made by the guys who make Kongs. I just broke out a new one, so let me show this to you!
Here's my new Kong.
They come in several sizes and they even make them for cats! Zimmie recently sent one to his best friend Huffle! My new purple one is the big size and I just love it!
You can play tug with them, like I'm doing in the photo above, or your mom can throw it and you can run after it and bring it back! I love doing both of those things! Here are some cool action shots Mom took with that sports setting on the new camera.
(It's a Nikon CoolPix P90, for those who have asked!)
I make bringing it back look easy, don't I?
Gotcha, Wubba!
But sometimes the Wubba is tricky and tries to get away! I had to wrestle a bit with it here:
I got it! I got it!
Don't worry! I got it under control!
Safely bringing the Wubba under control!
With as hot and humid as it's been here lately, Mom and I can only play for a short period of time in the morning before she claims I am close to getting over-heated.
I have no idea what she means, though. I'm from Texas; I can handle the heat!
And that, pups and kits of JFF, is a Wubba! I highly recommend this toy to all of you!
And many thanks again to Guinness and Shiloh's mom and dad! Woo!
Luv,
Dave
PS: Mom, let's crank up the air-conditioning!
Whoa, Dave! You can sure put the whoop on a Wubba, that is fer shur!
ReplyDeleteWubba's are cool huh! Glad you got to have some fun and hopefully you cooled off quickly so you could get back out there! Mom says even though I am supposed to be of African descent that I can't handle the heat....I need my ac...what can I say! ;) I missed you all!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Nala
We are soooo glad that you're having a grreat time with those wubbas!

PeeEssWoo: Maybe woo should tell your mom how adversely affekhted your kholour skills are when it gets TOOOOOO hot!?!
Thanks, Dave! We really appreciate this explanatpry post with photos. The cats don't do tug, but we dogs love it, so we dogs think the Wubba looks like loads of fun. What a neat way to run off your energy before the day gets too hot.
ReplyDeleteIt's been way too hot and humid here in GA too, so we haven't been too playful but we still get our exercise because we still have to take Jan on at least 2 long walks a day.
Hi Dave
ReplyDeleteGreat wubbas - great pictures. Thanks for the info on the camera too.
We dont have wubbas as yet but you made them look such fun perhaps we should get one each.

ReplyDeleteCan you explain "bring it back?" That is not in our Human to Siberian Husky translation book. Do we need the labrador book for that?

Scampi has a wubba too, although his looks just like him (a spotted cow)
ReplyDeleteI don't play with toys, I just de-stuff them, and there is nothing to de-stuff with those, so I guess he will have it a long time.

We love our Wubba, it has held up forever!! Sorry it is hot AND humid for you!
ReplyDeleteHi Dave!! Whoa cool wubba and in my favourite color too! Luvly pics as always, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCheers & Chuckles,

Hi Dave,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun toy indeed. We haven't seen it here yet but we have a lot of other Kong stuff so it must be on the way. This would be a great toy to take to the dog run with us especially as I love to retrieve balls and Dixie loves to play tug of war. Thanks for the great review and the lovely pics.
J&D
That Wubba looks like so much fun and we love your action shots! It looks like it'd be a great toy to take to the beach!
ReplyDeleteYou make it look too easy! My mom thinks I should be able to do that!
ReplyDeleteSteve
Ah, those mild Manhatten temperatures. The soft, gentle summer breezes cooling the air. The envigerating quest to retrieve the Wubba (Homer kills them as quick as we get them). No Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore. Does Miss Gulch live in your neighborhood? Has Profeesor Marvel's wagon been by lately?
ReplyDelete- TBH&K
We love our wubbas too... Moxie even managed to dismantle a water wubba... but the others are still around!
ReplyDeleteWUBBA!!! Wanna come and play over in Hawaii? It's not as hot! :)
ReplyDeleteMochi
Wubba luvah here too! Dave, you play with your wubba so much more elegantly than I... I need to take lessons from you!
ReplyDeleteHey Dave,
ReplyDeleteCan Sophie come over to your house and play with YOUR Wubba; something happened to ours and it don't work no more.
