Walking With the Boys

Hi everypuppy and everycat! It's me - Ammy! As you know, Mom has been walking the boys and me together; it's gotten a little better each time and we've been going a bit farther each time as a consequence! I have some pix to share with you from back before my birthday - we got all the way to the water tower that day, then turned around to come back. Ready to see?

Like I said, we got all the way to the water tower. Once we were there, I started acting ... well ... maybe just a little bit silly. Here's a collage:

Me - Ammy!

I was just happy and dancing and started telling jokes and stuff. You know ... like I told the boys if we could get to that water tower, we could make a big splash. Hee hee hee! Things like that.

We started heading home and I was still acting just a little silly. So Zim said maybe he should take on herding duties. He was looking pretty serious and in charge ...

... so Mom said he could give herding me and Davy a try. Here's a look at that:

Dave, me (Ams!) and Zim
Umm... get along little Siberians! Ha roo roo roo!

He wasn't really into it and got a little distracted ...

Hey ... what's that over there? Is that one of my kit-cat pals?

... and things got kind of ... just really unorganized!

Woo. Whatcha looking at, Zim?
Not back there, Dave. Over here!
Umm... I think I'm ready to get serious and herd the boys again!

So Mom put me back in charge, and I did my best to get the boys back in line!

OK, boys! Get together! Form up!

It was much better that way.

Since he's a Drill Sergeant, he needs to think more along Drill SGT/troops lines instead of the shepherd/sheep lines! I think that will work better for him!

For those of you with snow - enjoy! We might get another round tomorrow. I haven't made my snow-cast yet!

Love,
Ammy

  11. You did a very good job of sorting out the herding Ammy. Obviously that is not my bestest friend's strong point.

  13. Excellent work, Ammy. Funny - none of the boys of The Herd can "herd" at all (the pun is just for you). It always takes a female.

  16. Zim looks promising for herding but maybe he just needs some distraction training.

  21. I never had much luck walking two Goldens together - or back in our Great Dane days - even one Great Dane! I imagine it is pretty exciting walking your crew together! They really are beautiful dogs!

    Hey Ammy,
You need to go on Lettermen. We love your jokes. You must just crack everyone up with your quips. If Zim is such a good Drill Sargent why wasn't he barking out orders.
