Part of the not-too-serene stuff had to do with this:
"I wonder if the neighbors know those guys just did that...?"
They're coming our way. Siberianly speaking, I can't wait. I love watching bipeds work. Mom has said stuff about not being able to get "someone" to concentrate on doing his business (I have no idea what that's about) and her head being ready to explode. Hmm. That last one doesn't sound too serene at all, does it? Let's move on quickly!
How about this:
"Oswald at 12 o'clock, Zim!"
"Got the hare in my crosshairs, Dave!"
Ha roo roo roo! I've got to make sure Ammy sees that one. "The hare" in my "crosshairs". Ha roo roo - oh. Why did seeing Oswald make my mom feel serene? Apparently it's because he's over in the neighbors', yard, taking out all of their vegetation instead of ours. Sorry, neighbors!
In full bloom this week - our honeysuckle! How about a collage?
It smells incredible! I can't resist sticking my snooter in there. I have to be careful, though - this guy and a lot of his friends find it irresistible, too!
He's the Bee's Knees!
Cool little guy, isn't he? But Mom makes sure I admire him from a distance. I have no idea why. For a bigger view, click here!
That's about it for Serene Scenery Sunday. I sure wish I could share the honeysuckle fragrance with you. It's positively dreamy! (Hmm... dreamy. That gives me an idea about what to do next...)
Play bows,
Zim (and luv from Dave ... who apparently has abandoned helping me with this post and is already in Dreamland!)
Ohh! Street constructions. My boyfriend has them by his house, too, and they are supposed to last until August.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of the rabbits between your ears! I can just see the expression on your face, wanting to play a nice innocent game of chase.. ;)
Have a great weekend!
You are so funny! Love the pics! Hope you are having a fun day!
ReplyDeleteOh no....that digging is the worst. Hope they hurry up and get out of your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI have one of those things living under my shed!
Great pictures! I had to watch the whole time we had workers on our street too, you know, we dogs have to supervise them!
ReplyDeleteDaisy Mae
I like pulling off the honeysuckle leaves and eating them! Then I horka.
ReplyDeleteOur hu-dad said no thanks on the honeysuckle. Every time we walk past any, he explodes. Really. Sneezing. What kind of explodes did you think we meant?
ReplyDeleteOH Mom LOVES the smell of honeysuckles. (your Mom is quite right, so do those bees!)
ReplyDeleteHares in the crosshairs! harooooharooo(how was that? I am trying to laugh just like y'all. Did I do ok???)
Tell Mom to wrap her head with duct tape. Then it will keep all her brains in when her head does explode. Otherwise, well, the thought of all that brain stuff going all over is NOT a pretty picture. Duct tape and WD 40. all you really need to take care of most stuff.
If our mom had enough brains to even worry about ducttaping hers in, she'd learn the stuff your mom has learned and show an example.
As it is a bandaid could probably take care of her head exploding! harooo.
Howdy and wooo to Dave.
Hugs
Sunny
Great 'ears' picture :-)
ReplyDeleteWizz
Street construction. I can imagine your mom's head exploding. We had that happen twice during the winter due to bursting water pipes. It was a disaster! Love the pictures. Oswald in the crosshairs...love it!! Be careful in that honeysuckle...it's very pretty but those bees sure love it..Holly found that out twice last summer! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteWell Zim, that wasn't so serene! Big trucks and men working what fun - we would love to bark our heads off at all that activity.
ReplyDeleteWe just love a Wednesday when the bin men call!!!Oswald didn't look too serene either!
Thank goodness for the honeysuckle - we love that smell. We also have honeysuckle but it looks more pink!
We hope you all have sweet dreads and that the workmen go away soon.
love
Martha and Bailey xxxx
You are so funny, Zim! I hope your peace and quiet returns soon!

Rabbits are the work of the devil btw I have soooooooo many to deal with here, I can hardly have time to blog.
There should definitely be a law against Rabbits, and street construction toooo.
Well we don't get much street construction here in Scotland, our country is going back to lanes, filled with pot holes, we have no money! So my J says anyway.
lotsaluv, Marv, (ps I hope I have made youse smile at least!)
Hi there Zim and the rest of the
ReplyDeleteAO4,
The honeysuckle is beautiful but be careful of those bees...they are perhaps not so good for our snooters...hehe
Oswald is a cutie, our human would like watching him doing his thing. He would make her feel very serene. :)
We hope the digging work stops soon and your mum gets her peace again.
Have a great week you guys!
Very funny caption under the pic of the pile of rocks heheh! And yes... you must tell Ammy about the hair/crosshairs! LOVE those Oswald photos between shadow ears - wonderful! But so glad they decided to raid the neighbors' yard! Love honeysuckle too - we have it right out the kitchen window on an arch - so yummy! Watch the beez Zim!
ReplyDeleteHugs xoxoxo
Sammie
I don't know how you two do it....seeing those workers or Oswald would send me into a barking frenzy. I guess it is "serene" after all, huh?
ReplyDeleteMy momma loves your honeysuckle, very beautiful. We haven't planted anything this year since the weather was so stinky. Better get Mom on that now!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day! And tell your parents thanks for their sacrifices.
Snuggles,
Twix
I hope you are not too disturbed by all that work in your street Zimmie. Your honeysuckle looks divine and mum said she would stick her snooter in it with you!
ReplyDeleteHuffs
What are those constructions guys up to? Looks like making merry with ripping the street apart.
ReplyDeleteNice hare in the hairs. Hehehe. Yuh, those rabbits are HOOGE this year. And so bold.
Slobbers,
Mango
Howcome there was no rabbit chasing involved?? Mind boggling. I hope you ended up concentrating, an exploded head might be messy!
