I wasn't trying to eat them or anything; that would not be in keeping with the whole "serenity" theme. Well, it works for me, but that sort of thing seems to get mom all spun up. Here's a close-up:
Mum's mums
Pretty, aren't they? That pot will fill in soon and look a lot fuller. (For more close-ups, please feel free to visit the Garden Pix set on our FlickR page.)
Over in the garden, just to the left of where Calico Kitty was lounging the other day, we have a line of white mums mom planted a bunch of years ago. They're real full and tall; in front of those, she planted three smaller gold ones! Over here:
I like that color; it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I mean on the inside. I'm already warm and fuzzy on the outside. Ha roo roo roo! Here's a close-up:
And here is a white bloom; there are only a couple flowers on them right now. The rest are waiting for cooler weather to come out.
So that's what's blooming out front right now. There are lots of things in the backyard. I had plenty of time to check everything out the other day, as I spent a lot of time on the deck. You see ... not to bring up something totally un-serene or anything ... but I had a ... b-a-t-h. Actually, I was really good about it (for a Siberian Husky) and felt great afterwards. Here I am, drying off on the deck:
The after-bath
Don't I look like a rock star? Anyway, I'll show you around the back gardens tomorrow, OK? Let's just enjoy the mums for now!
Have a serene Sunday!
Play bows,
Zim

ReplyDeleteOh I luvs baths! I thinks you may want to send your hoomans over to help my Momma, her flowers look like crap. Somethin' bouts watering, weedin', and not having time is always her excuse. We have a beautiful plant in the bathroom - it's plastic BOL!

Oh, your mom's mums. Not your mom's mom. We get it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. Don't let Jan near them! They'll die.
Those sure are some pretty flowers. My mom doesn't have a green thumb and usually feels bad if she buys anything green because she knows it will just die.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful!
