Here's an example from the other day. Mom didn't get the "race to the window" part, but here I am, staring out the window:
Me - Ammy - being a really good, alert watchpuppy!
Mom saw me and asked if someone was out there. I gave her my very serious watchpuppy look.
Mom came to the door right away to see who was out there! She knew that if I was staring that intently, there had to be something major going on out there! She looked through the window and shot a picture of the intruder. Check it out!
See!?!? Siberians make perfect watchdogs! I watched him really well, until he finally left. I think bipeds should re-think this "Siberians are not good watchdogs" thing!
Love,
Ammy
Dearest Ammy, we have soooooooo many rabbits here now in my garden, I have given up even chasing them!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to agree you are a wonderful watchpuppy indeed ;oD

ahhh! I hate bunnies! I am so scared of them - they jump!
ReplyDeletewoof - Tucker
Hey there Ammy...
ReplyDeleteYou are as beautiful as ever!...and a wonderful watch-dog. Did mom allow you to catch it?
Sending lotsaluv to you all

Ams, you are a perfect watchdog! You watched that bunny-boy quite thoroughly, in my humble opinion.
ReplyDeleteGood job! We used to have a rex rabbit in our house and my boston terrier, Jaymie, loved her very much. They would actually play together and cuddle. So not all bunnies are bad!
ReplyDeleteAmmy you are a great watchpuppy! That's one serious face you gave your mom! You take your job seriously don't you!
ReplyDeleteExcellent job, Ammy! You never know when those sneaky bunnies want to break in and raid the carrot drawer in the frig!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Where in the word "watchdog" does it say anything about alerting others or making noise? Great job.
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope Oswald didn't eat too much. That's the way we watch too.
ReplyDeleteRemy and Flash
I totally agree Ammy! I am constantly watching out the back windown for critter! Especially bunnies!!!
ReplyDeleteKhady Lynn
We aren't watch dogs either. We bark a lot but then we want to lick every buddy!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Riley and Star.
That is pretty impressive Ammy - not only are you a serious watchdog but you are quiet! What a boon that must be for your humans.
ReplyDeleteWe can safely say we would be barking our heads off if we saw such an intruder outside our window!
We met two sibes today and of course right away thought it must be one of our friends!
No such luck.

Ammy what a watchdog you are..how silly of mom to think you were kidding around..oh those mommas!
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Wooos Ammy! I watch things too, usually from a laying down position, but that does not mean I am unaware of what is going on around me. I think that bunny needs to be dinner....

Oh, beautiful Ammy, you are a wonderful watchdog!...Such a cute bunny; we've never seen Bunny TV before!...Have a fun day, sweet friends, stay cool...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteLet's face it Ammy, sometimes the humans are not nearly as clever as they think they are.
ReplyDeleteHuffs
Wow, you are a good watch dog to keep that mean ol bunny away!
ReplyDeleteNeed you to come to my house. We have one under our shed and with 4 dogs..it still hops around proudly in our yard!
Looks like you met the definition of watchdog perfectly! It's not called a watchbarkdog so what more does your mom expect?
ReplyDeleteAmmy!
ReplyDeleteBe-pedar are soooo wrong.... most of the time!
I know you are a perfect watchdog!
Kisses and hugs
Lorenza
Ammy, you are definitely a great watchdog! A bunny!!! We wish we would see some around here! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteSeems to me like you are a perfect watchdog; if you barked at things, you would be a barkdog... And that looks like a very vicious intruder - good thing you were on watch! Heehee!
ReplyDelete*kissey face*

You tell em' Ammy!!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Maxx
I want a window like that! I love to stare out the window too! Mom knows that if I start tapping the window with my snooter that there's something really interesting outside! :)
ReplyDeleteMochi
Oh my God - a REAL LIVE bunny??!! I would have been staring from dusk till dawn! :-)
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
What is the point of barking? Better to just hide behind the door and then scare whomever dares to cross the threshold.
ReplyDeleteThat bunny looks familiar. Check to see if he has a Red Sox hat.
