Before I knew it, we were out in the middle of nowhere! We were totally in the wild, untamed prairie land!
"Isn't that the coolest, wildest place ever?!?" |
Gorgeous, isn't it? All that ... nothing! Let's explore!
It's very nice that there are some sidewalks growing out here in the wilds, isn't it?
Oh... wait a sec!
"Ha roo???" |
OK, never mind. I saw some quail in there the last time Mom and I were here and had to check for them. They weren't there this time. We can keep going...
I kept my eyes peeled for them, just in case. I'd hate to miss them; they're very cute birdies!
Mom and I kept walking through the wild prairie land, enjoying to the fullest the wind and cold and each other's company! (Mom says one out of three for her...) Before I knew it, we were at a very familiar place!
"Look, Mom! It's the Kansas Ocean!" |
It was a great day to be sea-side! I paused and struck a pose up on the bridge that spans one of the tributaries:
It was extra cold there, since the wind went underneath us, too! It was GREAT! For some reason, Mom made me start walking again.
I let her get a shot of me by the water ...
My serious side |
...then we decided to head home quickly, before Mom's hands and face froze solid to see how Dave and Dad were coming along with Dad's work stuff.
Thanks for coming along with us! It's about the same out there today, so I'm going to see what I can do about another extra afternoon walk!
Play bows,
Zim
Well we are just exhausted after that walk!
ReplyDeleteYou know we could even feel the wind in our ears.
Lovely pics.
Thank you for visiting us - we are having so many problems with the computer right now we think we have to get a new one.
love

Gee Zim... I need a NAP after this grrrreat walk. THANKS.
ReplyDeleteZim, you just look so handsome out there! Glad you enjoyed your mommy time!

Hey Zim, Your mom might have preferred to stay inside and quilt, but I am sure she is really thanking you for the exercise. That was a nice pose you struck at that bridge. I like that picture.

Hey Zim, How do you Train your Mom to like the cold and get out for a long walk with you. My Mom hates it (especially today with a strong wind blowing.) So did you enroll her in a special school or what?
ReplyDeleteI'll be waiting to hear, Zim.
Cheers,
Stella
Gosh it seems like everyone is having cold, wet, windy weather. Sept Fiona who I am guessing by all the rain we are having down here in the valley, is having wonderful, glorious snow at her place.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you are very cool, to get your human out there walking in the cold.
I think I'll see if I can get My Vickie to do it.
I"ll let you know.
Bert
You have the nicest Mom! Master goes out back and throws the ball for us but Mrs. Master says it's just too cold for a walk. Maybe tomorrow when it's a little bit warmer.
ReplyDeleteLots of Love,
Nora

ReplyDeleteLove going on your walks with ya. I went with MOM today, we joined up with Bert and Murphy. Except it was pouring rain. Everyone was soaked through. But guess what??? It is snowing like crazy. I can barely see out the front wind, just solid white! Woo Hoo!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
Great walk, your prairie land is awesome, was that a little ice on the ocean?
ReplyDeleteThe silvers and more
that looked like a great walk - we really enjoyed it from here inside warm on the couch. :)
ReplyDeleteWe thought you were going to see lions tigers and bears out there in the wild
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
A looooong walkie!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it a lot too!
Happy Saturday!
Kisses and hugs

You're a dog of strong character, Zim, to take your mom walkies on such a raw day so she'll stay healthy and sleep well at night. Very self sacrificing of you.
ReplyDeleteDave, that was a lovely little quilt you were helping your mom make out of 'scraps.' Is it finished? Is it yours now?
Jed & Abby
That is very different from the scenery we have here in Parma, Ohio. Enjoyed walking with you!
ReplyDeleteThat was perfect walking weather Zim! We're glad you took your mom out in it to burn off her excess energy! What would she do without you?
ReplyDeleteWe've had a couple cold, windy days here and boy, Mom doesn't like them. I think it's great having the wind blow through my fur. Zoomies also work here for getting either walks or chews. Mom is always saying, "Be quiet, the neighbors will hear!" That is the added benefit of living in attached housing!
ReplyDeleteSteve
Do you see prairie dogs on your prairies, Zimmie?

Good thing nothing harmed you out in the wild. Looks like you and your mom had a great walk just the 2 of you.
