It's Here!

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie!  I keep hearing about this Polar Vortex thing.  You know - what we used to call a cold air mass coming down from the north?  Yeah.  Anyway, we were out on a quick trip to the corner when ...

"Ooooh!  I can smell Siberia!  ... or at least Nebraska."

It's here!  And it's a cold one.  The good news, as per our mom, is that given that this is Kansas, our "real feel" temps are supposed to shift about 80 degrees by the weekend and we could see 60℉.

How cold has it gotten where you are?  I hope you're all staying warm!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  1. Mom keeps singing that Baby It's Cold Outside Song.

  2. We were pretty sad indeed when all that glorious cold missed Laramie, what is a pup to do??? Play bows,

  3. Thank goodness this polar vortex is gonna be short lived and I HOPE AND PURR never ever to return again.
The beautiful blues skies are deceiving!!

  4. Well, tomorrow it is going to be 35C/95F here.

  5. We have been down to 0 degrees but with a nasty wind chill. Thankfully we will see temps near 50 degrees in a few days!

  6. It is 35 here in the mornings but the days are sunny and near 50 which is good because we're not from Siberia or Nebraska! Our Grandpa from KS is at his condo in South Padre Island so he's missing the Polar Vortex. He doesn't mind.

  7. We had zero yesterday to start the day and it's 6 degrees this morning so at least we're going in the right direction☺ It's cold out there!

  8. It has been in the -22 F here, and we have survived - barely.
