We've been watching Longmire.
"Longmire's on!" |
Basically, it's a show about a sheriff in a fictional county in Wyoming, complete with nearby Indian reservation. And casino. For such a rural area, they sure have more than their fair share of murder mysteries, robberies, mob activity, etc. For the most part, it's pretty exciting.
Suspenseful, even.
Here are some flaws, in my humble opinion. Not necessarily in order.
1. They need more horse scenes. Really.
2. It wasn't filmed in Wyoming. It was filmed in New Mexico.
3. Mom agrees with me on this one. They have a good influx of military veterans portrayed on the show, but they're all whacked-out "victims" -- not strong and resilient like the men and women we know. Seriously, Hollywood? No. That is not reality.
Other than that, it's an enjoyable show, with beautiful scenery. Even if it is in New Mexico.
"That's right, Walt. New. Mexico. I tracked that down!" |
What have you been watching? Has anyone else watched Longmire? What did you think of it?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We haven't watched that. The peeps are watching Suits currently.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't started Longmire yet...We are big on Superheros and Sci-Fi...Right now, we all like to watch Gotham...you know, the Batman origin story?

My mom has that on her list, but there is too much out there to watch! I think she should just watch nature shows because that's what I enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed season 1 (and I read the books) then season 2 was only available streaming. I could only watch it on my desktop we don't have netflix etc. Maybe now that we have a fancy new tv I can sign up for Netflix. I like Longmire..was surprised he was Australian. Don't know how the actors can change their accents.

I haven't seen that one, but I like horsies! Have you ever seen Downton Abbey? I like that one when they have a bunch of horsies and baying dogs all going for a fun run together.
ReplyDeleteOur Dad would probably like that one. Our family room TV isn't a smart one??? And that's where the peeps watch most of their shows. Mom says a new Smart TV may be arriving soon. We wonder how we will know the difference:)

I finished the whole series as soon as the last season came out. I loved it because of the scenes of the Valles Caldera -- we drive by it when we drive to our land. And some of Andy, Beate, and Tim's Sunday walks were taken there.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I can see that over this side of The Pond ...BUTT... you'll nefer guess what...Mum's work peeps have been at it again and soon there's gonna be Sanditon on TeeVees here...oh I do LUFFS a period drama and Jane Austen wrote pawsome stuffs!!!

That sounds like a good series. We will try to get our pawrents to watch it. Right now there isn't much on tv to watch at night so they've been watching some movies.
