Serene Scenery Sunday

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie.  We've finally had some rain this week (we're in a drought, so it's much-needed!) and even though Ragnar and I have been out there walking our mom and dad, the photos haven't been too exciting.  So for this post, we're going back a couple days, before the rain!

We had a great walk on the trails and up at the top of the world.  On the way out, we got to take the trail that winds through the woods:

"Yay, the woods, Ragnar!"
"I LOVE the woods!"

Both Raggi and I LOVE that! There are so many interesting smells in there - not to mention a rickety bridge that we like to cross over! We weren't too cooperative photo-wise going over it ... well, but ... OK, here:

"Hey, look.  Someone's replacing the slippery logs with boards!"
"Careful on that muddy down-slope back there, Mom!"

We weren't going to share that, but it's a BRIDGE!  In the WOODS!  How serene -- am I right?!?

Moving right along ... Here's a nice shot of us up at The Top Of The World:

"Woo!  Feel the breeze, Raggi!"
"I can't control my tail!"

Can you tell how windy it was?!? There were 41mph gusts while we were out, then they increased a bit. Very "Kansas-y", as we like to say!

Here we are on the trail at the base of The Top Of The World:

"What a beautiful day!"
"Check those skies, Mags!"

The skies really were incredible!  Near the end of the trail, we struck a pose for Mom, with the sky as our backdrop:

Me and Ragnar, striking a pose.  Not looking at the camera, but posing nonetheless.

She was pretty happy with that one!

I hope our photos added a little serenity to your day!

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  2. Another wonderful walk. That rickety bridge might not be so rickety once those boards are all in place. But we bet those slippery logs were fun for your Mom")

  3. It must be great to be on top of the world looking down on creation
