Greetings to all! It's me, Mags. Even though we've hit a real hot spell here in the great state of Kansas (afternoon heat indices over 100℉), we're still out there in the mornings, getting our exercise in! We leave before dawn, in an effort to beat the heat. That being said, it does warm up FAST!
Just a reminder, if you're in a hot patch, too, to remember to stay hydrated! We take one or two water breaks during our walks -

We try to find a shady spot out of traffic (vehicles and people/dogs) and just take a minute or two.
|"A couple more slurps, then I'm good to go!"|
"Do you have any more cookies, Mom?"
Oh. Yeah. And get your bipeds to bring treats, too. Might as well make a party out of it, right?!?
Oh I hear you I was up at 0'Dark 30 this morning taking my walk. It was 72 AND HUMID but at least the sun was still hiding behind all the tall trees we have.ReplyDelete
Oh, I don't drinks from anything butts my crate bowl! Anything else is poison!!!! Poison, I say!!! (Ruby's Ma here, yes, she will NOT drink from anything but her crate bowl! 🙄 There is only ONE time I got her to take a few laps from a portable drink bowl, and it was like 90 out! sigh.)ReplyDelete
You are brave puppers indeed!
Thank you for the wise advice and we hope you do too.ReplyDelete
Staying hydrated is very important. You two look like you're having fun on your walk.ReplyDelete
Yup, it's HOT here. We take lots of water breaks at day care these days!ReplyDelete
