Photo Shoot Out-Takes, Part 1

Hi everypuppy and everycat.  It's me - Amber!  I hope all of you had a lovely Easter!  We certainly did, although as you saw from the card on yesterday's post, we had to endure a photo shoot.  As you can imagine, Mom didn't just say, "Here are some wooden eggs  and a little stuffed bunny; how about posing with them?"  Well... OK.  She did say that, but it wasn't quite that simple.  After all, we are Siberian Huskies; we can't make it easy for her!  Storm thought we should share some of the "better" pictures with you.

Mom chose to start with me.  That's not usually a good idea.  I'm not big on going first.  Mom got me to lay down and put the items in front of me.  I didn't know why and I knew I wasn't supposed to play with them, so I did my Malamute ears.  You know... when I lay them down like this:

Not happy, Mom!

I wasn't relaxed, as you can imagine!  I mean... I could ignore the pysanky... but isn't it a bit much to ask me to ignore a stuffed bunny?  Mom reached over and tried to get me to relax...

Mom playing with my footy-foot

That helped a little... and Mom backed up and took this picture real fast:

She was happy enough with that one for a minute, even though I didn't look real happy, but forgot about the plugs in the background.  Oops.  I tried my best to hold still while she changed positions... and let her snap the one she ended up using in the card.

Half a shutter opening later, I ... err ...

Oooh!  How did this happen?  Look!  The bunny fell down!

... err... I witnessed a little accident, let's say.  Before I could ... err ... help the bunny, somesibe who actually likes doing this sort of thing came over, plopped down in front of everything, and struck a pose while Mom set the items back up.

Is this what you're after, Mom?

Whew.  At least that ended my session!  Stay tuned for more photo fun tomorrow!

Love,
Ammy

Our humans say the invention of digital photography has saved them hundreds of dollars in films because of the number of shots they have to take to get good ones. We think that's great because they can spend that money on us instead!

I think the bunny was trying to sneak over to play with your tail.

And I did notice that the pysanky had Ammy colors in them.

Oh Ammy
It is the same in this house - sometimes we just need to look at that camera!
You did both look very cute though and we did enjoy seeing the pictures.
Maybe it would help if you thought you were posing for all your friends!!!

My Mom gets a little annoyed over the photo shoots too. But look at it this way, if we made it easy for them, and were real photojeanic, we would be in demand for movies, ads, and probably political pics. That, if you don't know it, is WORKING and an end to our life of leisure.
Not me, gang, not me.
Kisses,
Stella

Dave to the rescue, eh? Love your malamute ears, Ammy. I do those too when I'm not real happy while I'm trying to behave.

I am pretty sure it was the bunny that knocked over the eggs. It looks like a sneaky bunny. Perhaps trying to pick a fight with us. I have this purple one that keeps antagonizing me with his fuzziness. I can feel his plastic little eyes burning holes in my fuzz.

(psssst. maybe dave is working with the bunny)

Hah! posing for that flashy box is about as much fun as getting a bath! I try to ignore her when she comes around with it and make the worst possible pictures. It is so much more fun than posing!

Ammy we can totally relate. We don't like sitting still and how can they put that stuff in front of your nose and not expect you to check it out?

I wouldn't be trusting that bunny either Ammy. You were right to do the malamute ears.

Dave to the rescue! Ammy, you still looked beautiful even if you didn't want to pose with the bunny!

I think you are still beautiful with your malemute ears, my dear Ammy. That bunny is sneaky and knocked everything over. Never trust a bunny - they are almost as shifty as squirrels.

Love & snooter kisses, Shiloh

Well, Ammy, I think YOUR pictures came out great! As for laying your ears back, I do that, too! Sometimes my Spokeswoman can get the back up by making a soft, funny sound or a dog whine sound.
