Keats!

Ha roo, pups and kit-cats!  It's me - Zimmie!  Before I get to today's post, I would like to thank the verrrrrry beautiful and snuggly Hazel over at Pointer Pandemonium for presenting us with this award:

According to Hazel, Ludo's mom said the award probably reads, "Proven!  Your blog has sweetness."  Wow!  That's really special!  Thank you very much, Hazel!  And Scotty and Sophie!

Today (the 25th) is ANZAC Day - and we do give thanks for the fighting men of Australia and New Zealand, our dear friends and allies!   In keeping with the day, we'd like to honor our blogging friends in Australia and New Zealand, by sharing this award!  We send this out to Opy and CharlieHuffle, and Suzuki in Australia, and to Team Husky and  Josh and Jessie in New Zealand!  And... I hope I'm not leaving anypup or kitty out.  If you're reading this and are from Australia or New Zealand, please accept this blog award!  Thank you for your friendship!

As Storm mentioned yesterday, by the time I got back to the park to see my new circus friends, they were gone.  Mom decided we'd head to some place named Keats to seek adventure there.  Those purple flowers we showed you yesterday were on the way!  According to our fellow blogger at Flint Hills/Tall Grass, it's called Henbit and is an annual plant that "grows best in disturbed areas like plowed fields and along high-use areas."  Thanks for the great info!

After we went through a bunch of fields, we saw a sign for a park, so we thought we'd stop in.  Mom said she was sorry I couldn't see my horse friends again, but that maybe we'd find someone just as fun out here.

Ha roo?

No... not really as fun as the horses from the circus.  We were about to leave when I saw .... her.  Sigh.  Her name is Sadie and our moms let us meet.

Me and Sadie.  And Sadie's mom.

Isn't she dreamy?  I mean ... she's no Sitka, but wow, was she fun!  This is the only good picture Mom got of us, because we did play bows and leash zoomie macramé and stuff, so everything was out of focus.

We really liked each other and Mom said we could try to meet up with her again!  It turned into a great adventure after all!

Play bows,
Zim

  4. oh I most admired your leash zoomie macrame work. My J says can you macrame a plant holder macrame thingme for her, it would be very 1970s and retro style!

Sorry I have been missing, I am currently being held hostage in a "kennel" as my parents (with no concern for my welfare) have taken a weekend away.

However, I think as my J has slept in far too many strange beds the past few weeks, they will not be long away from me.

oh and how wonderful you are honouring our Aussie and New Zealand pals, on Anzac Day.

    Thank you for your kindness.

Golly Zim, when we saw the post title we though one of y'all was gonna be reading poetry. We are glad it was about a place, not a person, named Keats. If the othetr dogs name was Shelly instaead of Sadie it would have been abvout Keats and Shelly and we would have freaked out. We don't have any of that purple stuff in our paddock and that's pretty disturbed ground. Blows that theory.

  17. You were bigger than those ponies but that yellow one must not be getting a good diet since his color is a little off.
