Ha roo, pups and cool-cats! It's me, Zim! Wowzers, did I have an adventure yesterday! Remember the picture of Ammy from Wordless Wednesday? She saw geese at the Kansas Ocean!!! How cool is that!??! I've never seen a goose, except for the fly-overs they do in the skies above Ao4 HQs. Well, Mom asked me if I'd like to go for a ride with her and of course I jumped at the chance! I didn't think we'd see any geese, I wasn't even thinking geese, because we walk to the Kansas Ocean, we don't drive there. But then... we pulled up at the ocean Ammy discovered back in February!!!
She had seen a sign about ducks and geese when she was there, so I knew there was potential. And then... something caught my eye!
There, Mom! Let's go that way!!!
No, it wasn't the mud that you can see there that was calling me ... though I not only managed to step in it but I made Mom step in it, too. (Ha roo roo roo!) Check out the banks of the Amber Ocean!!!
They saw me coming and jumped in the ocean and started swimming away.
There was a sign posted about "no swimming", but either they ignored it or can't read.
They started honking their horns, so I figured there was some traffic jam out there on the ocean or something. I looked to my left and saw this other kind of goose. They look like the kind Ammy saw; check 'em out!
I tried to lull the other guys in...
But they seemed immune to my charms. Fine. I'll just wait.
But apparently, Mom had other ideas ... involving getting in the car and going home. Rats!
I'm sending her a mind-meld message to take me back VERY soon! Those gooses were fascinating!!!
Play bows,
Zim
Maybe your charms will lure in another resident from The North!

What cool geese you found Zim! I can't understand why they didn't come over to meet you!
ReplyDeleteWell,Zimmie, we don't think you have to worry about seeing them again. Mom says they have a tendency to multiply very quickly. So next time, maybe there will be flocks of them.
ReplyDeleteTail wags, the OP Pack
Those gooses did sure look like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pity they didn't come to play with you.
Wonder how they found their way from Canada.
Do you think someone has given them your address?
Well Zim we will let you know when we see any gooses over here in Scotland. We have a stuffie goosey not sure if that counts.

Oh, too bad you didn't get to play more closely with them! :) Looks like you had a great time spying on them though.

ReplyDeleteI don't like them a bit!

Those gooses are bigger than ME! You are very brave! I heard sometimes they CHARGE at doggies, so be careful!
ReplyDeleteThat was bad timing on Mom's part fur sure! I suggest you ask her for some of the stale bread she might have hanging around the kitchen. But don't eat it on the way back to the ocean!
ReplyDeleteECHO
Oh we will be right over to help you with those geese. We have been practicing at the lake.. Callie is about the best we got. She runs right through the water after them.. The is no stopping her...

Did you find some goose poop, Zimmie? I've heard those geese poop A LOT and EVERYWHERE and it's real smushy and stinky...'course that last bit sounds like poop in general, but YOU know what I mean!

Zimmie, when mum and dad went to visit Steve and Kat last year , they saw those gooses from Canada too! Mum said they were big!
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
But, Zimmie, it looks like you tried your kitty pose with the gooses. Maybe that is why it didn't work.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, we find the gooses leave lots of yummy treats on the ground, though our humans keep telling us not to eat them. I wonder why?
Hmmm, Jack tries to woo the geese that walk around the Navy base too, with about the same results woo got. silly gooses!
