We got buckled in ...
Here's a good look at my seatbelt system, for those of you who were curious! |
... and we were ready to roll.
We took care of what Mom needed to do, then wow! What do you know? We ended up driving by the Kansas Ocean! Isn't that a coincidence
We walked right down to the shoreline - and I just couldn't believe it.
"Wowzers!" |
The sea level should be up to the top of the rocks I'm standing on in the photo above; that's a pretty good illustration of how bad our drought is.
Some of the tributaries to the Kansas Ocean are frozen:
"Ooh! Ice!" |
The main body of water isn't frozen, though. We're not sure why not, given what our temps have been like lately. Must be because it's an ocean! You can see it out there in this next picture:
Oh, I know. You might wonder if I had stuck my snooter into all those dried
See? Clean as a whistle. Nothing to see here. Let's head up to the boardwalk.
"Sticking my snooter in the dried stuff! Puh-lease!" |
We had fun walking around for a while, enjoying all the sights, sounds, and smells.
"Anybody want to join me for a stroll along the boardwalk?" |
It was a great way to cap off the afternoon! I could have stayed there all day!
"Mmm! One last whiff of those Kansas Ocean breezes, Mom!" |
I love helping to run errands! Especially when I get to navigate!
Play bows,
Zim
I'm going to say that you have better restraint that I. I would have stuck my whole face int he dried vegetation, followed by my whole body. I bet the Kansas Ocean does not freeze because it is salt water. I would love to talk a walk on the boardwalk. i would not be "bored" at all. It would be exciting. They should call it an excitewalk not boardwalk.

I can't believe it is that cold and the ocean didn't freeze! Even with the cold it sure looked like a nice day for a walk. BTW Zim you look very handsome sitting in front of your sporty ride.
ReplyDeleteMillie
I would love to come walk along the boardwalk!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this weather just the best? Your mom sure is nicer than my humans who think it's sooooooooooooo cold.
Nora
you are an amazing navigator - better than GPS. :) we don't know about walking around in this kind of weather though - you Sibes must be REALLY cold proof. and we hope the ocean refills before summer
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cool trip!!!
ReplyDelete...not as "cool" as the sub zero temps here in Minnesota though! haha!
xo, Katie
Zim you get pawsome adventures when you navigate. I'd love to smell the ocean. Hey you waiting for some chics with that cool sports care of yours? Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You are such a good navigator!
ReplyDeleteSam
You are the bestest navigator ever Zimmie! It was nice of you to take your mom to the Kansas Ocean and enjoy the sea breeze! We can't get over how brown it is there since it's so green here but our skies are gray and foggy and not blue. That we don't like. At all.
ReplyDeleteZimmie , woo are an awesome GPS.. as in Global Positionng Sibe. Ha-roo roo roo!
ReplyDeletewonderful walk with your mom, we have not been able to convince ours that we need to go on a walking adventuresince our temps have slid into the 20's and below range. Oh well, at least we have a nice big backyard, we can smell the Bay from here, and the gulls fly overhead to tell us how things are going on our ocean.
BTW, that is one sweet ride & safety system, Zim!
a-roos to yous,
jack & moo
What an excellent navigator you are Zimmie!
ReplyDeleteu do a great job we are worried about the drought also. love the pretty car.

We Dread to think of the BORING and DULL places you would have gone.. had SHE been allowed to navigate.
ReplyDeleteWe did NOT see anythingy in your furs.. well hardly anythingy.
your Kansas ocean is even pretty in the winter. Those mommas are such sissys.
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Benny & Lily
Cinderella wants to walk along the boardwalk with you! Me, I'll go splashing in the ocean. It looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine why she would ever go without you??
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Good job on the navigating, Zim! Fifteen degrees doesn't bother you at all, huh!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
