Mixing Things Up

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim.  You know, I like to mix things up around here a bit from time to time.  As Dave told you yesterday, sometimes I'm even ... a little snuggly!  No, it's true!  It's on rare occasion, don't get me wrong!  But yes, there are times when I'd like to sit next to Mom and do a little snuggling.  Sort of like my kit-cat pals -- on my own terms, at times of my own choosing.  So there I was the other evening ...

"Oh, hi."

I have no idea how Dave's quilt got all scrunched up down by my feety-feet, in case anyone was going to ask.

"Me?  No.  I have no idea what all the howling was about.  Really."

Well, fine.  I might have known what all the howling was about.  But just between you and me, OK?  As they say on TV, previously, at Ao4 Headquarters ...

"Zim!  Is that my quilt?  Zimmie!  Zim!!!  ZIMMIE!!!  WOOOO!"

Hey.  Explorer pups need some schmoopy time, too!

And don't feel bad for Dave.  There's a reason God gave bipeds two hands!

"Mom!?!  Hey, Mom.  Hold my paw?  Mom!"

Yes, that's me over there on the right.  Mom's ambidextrous - there's no reason why she couldn't keep stroking my fur with her right hand and rub Davy's tummy or hold his paw at the same time!

How about all of you?  Do you have times when you like to step out of character for a while?  What do you do to mix things up?

Play bows,

  1. It's definitely never a dull moment here with Sam and Monty! On some days, Monty is lazy and Sam is frisky. We even caught Sam shredding a tissue the other day, which is 100% a Monty trait!

  2. Well, I wasn't going to tell anyone, but I fell asleep on Mrs. Master's lap the other night.

  3. Mixing things up is the spice of life, right Zim? Hummm how do I mix things up? Well once in a while I will sleep on my dog bed in MOM's bed room instead of under the covers with her. BUTT only if she hangs her had over the side and pets me to sleep. But I don't think she sleeps as well this way. hehehe.

  4. Hey Zim sometimes I step out of character and I am good. Not often but just sometimes. Love you guys. Think about your back stories often and love the way your peeps took you in. Makes us sad but makes us smile. As Frankie would say.....just saying. Have a magnificent Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. it is good to step out of your comfort zone sometimes.... nothing wrong with a little snuggling :)

  6. For me, mixing things up is jumping up on the sofa next to Glogirly to cuddle. A VERY rare occurrence.
    heh, heh

  7. Whoa THAT is more like a full sized LEAP outta character rather than a step. Your mom must have been THRILLED.
It is GOOD to do stuffs like that to keep the peeps GUESSING, RIGHT???

  8. We think you guys fight for moms attention. And the blanket? BOL

  9. You have to keep the humans on their toes or they get all complacent.

  10. Double snuggles for your mom must have been a great night.

  11. you know, Zim, lately Smidge and Minnie have mixed things up in that Smidgen has been more active and Minnie has been sleeping more. IT's usually the other way around. The best part is keeping our mom guessing :).

Enjoy your schmoopy time! hey, we all need it :) tho our mom needs to be an octopus so she can pet us all at the same time. hee hee!

    Pip, Smidgen, Minnie, Hollie

  12. I mixed it up today by getting out of bed at 9am instead of noon and then hung out with Mommy in her office all day instead of going back to bed. I know I'll be exhausted tonight but it was a fun change. It's nice you mix it up and lay with your mom and Davy!

  13. Sometimes i just like a little snooze and cuddle with mum too!
    Love Milo :)
