Things looked different, alright! The crime scene tape was gone, there was a new sidewalk in place, and the moles had clearly tried to smooth out their molehills.

Most peculiar, don't you think? We'll stay on it to see what happens. They'll be back. They always come back! Besides, they left one of these:

Very strange indeed. They may have tried to cover up their activities. But no cover up can fool the two of you. I bet the neighbors are glad the two of you are on the case. Do you think they brought in the squirrels as reinforcements? That would be a scary scary thought. I shiver. Have you seen what they can do to a defenseless Cheeto?

Well, this is a very curious development. I like the new sidewalk and the flags are quite festive, but the candy corn pole has to go. So unsightly.
