Wubba Star!

Woo, everypup and everycat. It's me, Dave. We've had even more rain and chilly weather around here lately, but fortunately Mom took tons of pictures of me playing in the backyard a week or so ago. We're still going on fun walks and playing in the house, but nothing beats a good round of Wubba in the backyard - so I thought I'd show you some of those pix -- OK?!

I brought out our bright blue Wubba and my Squeaky Husky Friend.

"You stay right there, Squeaky Husky Friend. I'll show you what playing Wubba is all about!"

He's better at that whole "stay" thing than I am! Anyway, I showed him how Mom and I play Wubba Tuggy-Tug:

Tuggy-Tug!

Then I showed him what I'm REALLY good at ~ Wubba Fetch! Here's a cool collage Mom made:

Isn't that cool? For a bigger version, please

So we played and played... but then... see up there in the collage? That picture in the lower right corner? I was rounding the bend, coming in for the hand-off, when... uh...
as Stormy would say, I started to feel a little funny.

Not only that, but my brakes weren't exactly working!

"Uh... Mom? You OK, Mom? How come you're on the ground, Mom?"

I think I put on a good show for my Squeaky Husky Friend, don't you? And yet, for some reason we went in the house after that.

But woo, I'm a Wubba Star!

Luv,
Dave

  1. Dave, you are an awesome Wubba Star. I would like to Wubba with you, we would show your Husky friend a thing or two.

My brakes don't work to well either when Wubbas are involved.

I even got Flash playing with my Wubba last night, don't tell your Mom but we were inside.....and got pretty close to putting our Wubba thru the TV. That was fun.

  4. Good job with the Wubba! Darwin doesn't have one of those! This will be a great tutorial for her on how to play with one!

Hope your mom is ok after your break failure! Darwin does that too sometimes!

  5. Yeah, we sometimes have brake problems - luckily, when we can't brake in time, we can usually maneuver around Mom (usually) so we don't take out her knees! :-)

  7. ha ha! It is always good to keep your Mama guessing, and possibly, floored whilst she is busy taking photos of your Wubba Fest!

I do hope though, your Mama has recovered her dignity.

It is a shame you didn't have a camera on you, so we could have seen the Wubba Knock Down!! :)D

  8. Oh my goodness, Dave!! I hope your human was alright...I once ran straight into a friend of Hsin-Yi's and I put her in hospital with a neck brace!!!! (well, Hsin-Yi did tell her to get out of my way as I was zoomying after her dog during play but for some reason she thought if she just planted her feet, she could withstand the force of my 150lb body...er, no. Not when she only weighs 110lbs! Hee! Hee!)

  18. Dave, if you acted like a true husky and not a lab-in-a-sibe-suit, you would be looping around Mom at the last second at full speed, not trying to stop to deliver the Wubba to her! More fun, safer for Mom too....Next time, think "I'm a Sibe, not a Lab, I must keep running and drop the Wubba far away for Mom to retrieve, I am a Sibe..." Work on it!

  20. Did your brakes break? That is really fun when we are running together and trying to see who can stop the closest to the hu-dad for attention, but sometimes we all get a little too close. Oops.
