Serene Scenery Sunday

Tail wags, dear readers, it's me - Stormy! Are you ready for some serenity? We're trying something new today - importing an iPhoto slideshow we put together of some of the sunsets we've enjoyed over the past week! Let's start with that, just to get everyone in a mellow mood.

The music is "
Amber" by Matthew Montfort. We thought it was fitting on so many different levels!

In case that won't play for you, I'm posting some of my faves here, plus you can see all of them in our
Sunsets and Sky Shots set on FlickR.

My first favorite is this panoramic shot Mom took, with some cool special effects added in!

It reminds Mom of a sand painting!

Here's another look at the sunset from that same night - the first of August:

Check out who else was enjoying the sunset that night:

Here's another look at the close of first of August:

Another favorite of mine from the week was actually taken with Mom's iPhone 4!

It's not always the camera that makes the difference! God put on quite the spectacular display for us that night!

Moving on to garden news... did Zimmie ever update you on the
Purple Lady Iresine?

"He hasn't filled you in on how it's filling in?"

It's filled out really well! Mom really likes it and wants to plant it again next year. She likes how it spills over the sides of the mailbox planter and adds an intense burst of color. Speaking of the mailbox and a burst of color ...
Mr. Cardinal was posing up there. Mom tried to get a good shot of him and was disappointed that just as she was getting ready to snap the camera, a neighbor drove by and scared him. That is ... she was disappointed until she downloaded this:

Pretty cool, don't you think?

That's a wrap for this week's
Serene Scenery Sunday. I hope you enjoyed a little bit of Kansas tranquility!

Tail wags,
Storms
