It all started with something very new - a harness! Then, my mom asked me to jump in the car! With no crate in it! I had never done that before ... but I was willing to try it. I chose to ride like this:
"I'm not sure about this; it's new to me!" |
I was fastened to something called a "seat belt". Hmm.
Before too long, we got to this place:
Oh! It's the place Zim and my Dave told me about - it's where the vets are! Now you know where I went!
"My brothers told me there are all kinds of nice people here!" |
We went right in and Mom signed me in. They wanted me to get on the scale. Right there in front of everyone! Can't a girl have a little privacy?!? I'm not sure I liked that part, but I did it anyway!
After that, we had a seat and relaxed. There were two very handsome German Shepherds in the room and a very large Bulldog. I thought all of them were very handsome.
You can see one of the handsome German Shepherds in the background of the photo above. I was pretending not to notice him. Did I mention he was handsome? Oh, he really was. So was the other GSD. And the Bulldog.
After just a little while, my student Lila came out and met me. She was very nice. We went into the exam room and she gave me a thorough exam and kept saying how sweet I am and how cooperative. I wanted to make everyone back at Polargold Siberians proud of me! Then I met our Vet Tech Beth and I really liked her. She smelled of Border Collie boys. I'll bet they're handsome, too. She said I was very sweet, too, and very well-behaved and that "maybe we have another Dave on our hands". Ooooh... I just love that. Because I love my Dave! Mom said it's a big compliment because my Dave is so very good for the vets and they can do anything at all without him fussing. Isn't he wonderful?
Then I got to have another exam by Dr. B, and two more vets who know my brothers came in just to meet me! Everyone was so nice and so welcoming! They all said I was a very lovely girl!
Oh! While I was in the exam room, I heard a cat in "the back"!
"Cat!" |
Mom doesn't quite think I'm probably a cat-lover like Zim, but she isn't sure yet. Based on our breed's prey drive ... you know. No offense to cats. Oh - especially my new cat blogging friends! Speaking of whom...
We wanted to apologize for getting so behind reading and commenting on your blogs. We're going to try to get caught up, but as you can imagine, Mom has her hands full right now and we aren't allowed to use the computer without her. I also wanted to thank each and every one of you for the warm welcome!
I think I feel another nap coming on. They do a lot of that Road Marching thing here and it's enough to wear a girl out. Does anyone know what "That's the plan, Camo" means? My mom says that a lot.
Cameron
Does anyone else read the posts written by the different AO4 members in different voices? :)
ReplyDeleteHey Cam!! Nice to meet you!

WELCOME to Blogville Cameron. You have two very special brothers. You are gonna LOVE your new life.
ReplyDeleteCamo, don't make it easy. Hold out for treats at the vet.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are in excellent shape, just like a young pup should be. Do you know how old you are, Cam?
ReplyDeleteUh, Cam, you might just watch Teddy Westlife a bit, he is a very good cat, but he has been known to get into a little trouble now and then.
Cheers,
Stella
You'll soon learn to like cats Camo, you now live where there's Wildcats everywhere!
ReplyDeleteIt's a new routine for you Antie Cameron, but soon you will have it down and be marching right along with the others! And, I'm not surprised everyone loved you at the vets! You are a beauty!

Of course everyone loved you at the vet place. I mean how could they not. I bet soon you'll be riding up on the car seat soon. Much better view from up there.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose

ReplyDeleteyou know, folks say the darndest things...we never know what our mom is saying half the time...that is, if we are paying attention in the first place...

Mitch and Molly
Camo we are glad your vet visit went well and that you are settling in. We look forward to seeing the three of you out and about. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Even though you went to the V-E-T, it sounds like a wonderful day with mom. That harness seatbelt thing sounds pretty cool. I guess when you wear it, it means you are going to the VET. Wonder why they have kittys there since its a VET. Nutty. Not sure what the plan means. Probably that you are going to the VET.
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Camo your vet sounds better than our Dr. Frankenvet so we are glad about that, you are so lucky to have such SWEET brothers, did you see what MOM brought home to us the other day!!!

I'm glad you had such a nice trip to the dogtor! I'm not surprised that you were just as sweet and calm as your brother. I can tell that about you just from the little I've met you!
ReplyDeleteThey wanted to make sure you could keep up with the boys, right Camo?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of boys, we are hoping you find Golden Retrievers handsome too!
Sam
All we ever hear here is "A Tired Sibe is a Good Sibe." We would argue with that, but we always seem to need a nap. And that, somehow, makes our hu-dad happy. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteoh Camo, you are so totally HOME!! You are gonna luvluvluv your brofurs!!
ReplyDeleteI googled "that's the plan camo" and came up empty. So I have NO idea what your mom means. But boy you are making this WAY too easy for her. It's time to dig into your Siberian roots and remind her what Sibes do best! booo-wa-ha-ha (Um, oops. that was Juno talking... Wild Dingo says "Good husky Camo!") And Loki says "Hey good lookin'! Welcome to your new home and the dog-o-net!"
