When I first got out there, I discovered a brick path!
"Is this what I think it is?" |
Since I've relocated to Kansas, I thought it might well be the infamous Yellow Brick Road. Upon further inspection, I concluded it was not.
"That's a very tall grass, Daddy!" |
We have some very big grasses back there. My daddy said they're a nod to our native prairie grasses. Or that they're easy to grow and low-maintenance. One of the two.
I thought I should go lick my daddy's nose before continuing on my journey.
"Kiss and cuddle, Daddy?!?" |
Down the path a bit further, I found some lovely-smelling plants!
"Oooh, lavender! Lovely fragrance; lovely color! It matches my collar!" |
I saw all kinds of pretty plants and fun things to pounce on and try to eat!
Me - about to pounce! |
I stopped to admire the landscape lighting -
"Very nice!" |
- and tried to eat some dried bugs off the top, if I'm to be honest here. Daddy didn't let me, so I kept moving.
"Let's go this way!" |
Daddy's tons of fun! He let me explore the retaining walls if I promised to be VERY careful.
"It's a little scary, Daddy... but nothing ruffles my feathers!" |
I kept going!
Maggie T - Explorer Pup! |
I was very careful, like Aunt Cammie told me to be - and I made sure to stop and "admire" everything like Zimmie told me!
"Zim was right - very tasty!" |
I had a wonderful time back there - and loved spending extra daddy-daughter time! Many thanks to all of you for sharing my adventure with me!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

ReplyDeleteBravo fur YOU and fur your DADDY too.
My only tip to you is DO NOT destroy the lighting. It is not a toy.
ReplyDeleteI learned that the hard way my first few weeks here.
It seems as though you have everything under control though.

That was a HUGE adventure. How special to go exploring with Daddy and you and nobody else. I got a little scared when you went on the retaining wall, but it looks like you were cautious.
