Meltdown!

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me - Zim!  I think Dave gave you the  wonderful  (Mom, this is our blog, not yours!) horrible news about our snow melting the other day.  Yesterday, our temps almost hit 50℉  (10℃), which, as you can imagine, has done a number on my really cool snow forts.

Here's Dave, by what was left of my main really cool snow fort:

"Zim...  Zim, you're not gonna want to see this, buddy..."

He knows how dedicated I am to my work.

"It'll be OK, Dave!  I'm sure it just needs a little ... floofing."

Dave said maybe a "lot" of floofing was more the order of the day.

"Really.  I can get this baby -- WAIT!  Is that TOBC?!!?"

I was mistaken, fortunately!  It was Fluffy Black Cat, not The Other Black Cat (TOBC).  Whew.  I mean, you saw TOBC's fort!  I've gotta be ready!

"That'll have to do it for now."

I got it fluffed up as best I could, then suggested we check on my other really cool snow forts, too.

"Dave?  Can you see the one on the northern flank?"
"Yeah ... I don't think you're going to be happy, Zim ..."

I looked to the north for the really cool snow fort I built there ... and ...

"GASP!"

Can you believe that's all that was left?!?  To make matters worse, we're in for more warm weather and even RAIN.  Oh, sure, sure, we really need the moisture, but what about my really cool snow forts?!?  We're in meltdown!!!!

Play bows,
Zim

  5. That's so sad to see the meltdown but hopefully you get more. Our grandma from Las Vegas is on her way to Kansas today and she had to go out and buy winter clothes so she doesn't freeze so we bet she'd love to see snow while she's there! Hee hee.

  7. Poor Zim. But hey - it is early in the winter....you should get more snow and can build another one. Mom says she hopes it warms up a little here so she doesn't have to shovel grandma and grandpa's driveway before they get back from vacation. MOL

  10. Oh no's! Not your really cool fort. Zim you just head this way, I've got plenty of snow and we will get more in a day or two. I could use a really cool fort in my back yard. Oh the fun we could have in it. Then, then, I would take you to the FOrt and you could make a really cool one there too. We are having a warm up around here too, today it is suppose to get up to 22. I'll try to blow some snow your way when it gets here.
    Blessings,
    Goose

  11. Hi Zim, We are in melt down mode too, but the weather guys are telling us that it will all be back next week. They better be right because I don't want to loose all my snow digging spots either.

  13. d'oh! sorry about your northern flank, Zim! we hope your floofing was able to help your really cool snow forts. Don't be mad at us when we say we agree with your mom about your weather. yeah...we're kitties and you just can't beat a sunpuddle :) still, we'll think hard on behalf of you pups that your precipitation will come in the form of more snow :)

  14. Man, that is really sad about your fort, but I just know you will get some more snow and you can make another one. Like Goose said, we are expecting more snow but I don't know, It is so cold, I don't think will freeze in the air before it hits the ground. Then it will just be frozen in the sky and then we will......Oh my gosh, I am rambling a lot tonight.

  17. Oh no! You need to send your dad out to shovel all of the available snow in all of the neighbor's yards and bring it back to your yard so you can rebuild your fort, guys! This is just too sad!

  20. We still have snow here, but not for long since it is raining and Kansas hot right now. I'd better build a fort while I can.
