Hi everypuppy and everycat! It's me - Amber. As some of you know, our dad really enjoys golf - playing the sport, enjoying the fresh air, and taking in the nice scenery. As Stormy mentioned yesterday, our weather is so horribly warm right now, that Dad went out and hit the links!
He went to the course you can see from our house; if you've ever seen the sunset or most of the storm (with a small 's') pictures I've posted, it's out there. You can get a nice look at it at this link. We wondered if there would be anyone else out there and were happy when Dad checked in via his iPhone. He said there were only a few other golfers behind him, but quite a large gallery that followed him on the sixth hole. He snapped a couple pictures of them and sent them to us.
Here they are:
He gathered quite a crowd, didn't he? These two came in for a closer look:
Find your game!
You're the man!
And I really think this one liked him a lot:
Nice shot!
Moo?
Mom keeps saying how "cute" the cows are. I hope she doesn't get any ideas. I think they'd take up way too much room in the bed!
Dad also said there was a lot of coyote poop out there; oddly enough, he didn't take pictures of that. Hee hee hee!
Even though I'd really prefer it if we were belly-deep in SNOW, I'm happy my dad was able to get some golf in. He was able to play at least once during every month of 2008. Yea, Dad! I think he might go out again today. Then I hope it snows like crazy. :)
Love,
Ammy
I had the silly ballbashers out there in the fog Saturday and Sunday morning!
ReplyDeleteOn MY khourse, they need to watch out fur goose poop!

Khyra
Great for your dad but poor Ammy... It's snowing again here. Maybe you need to move north.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Brice
That is quite an interesting golf course and gallery, Ammy. It's kind of you to offer to hold off the snow until your dad has had his fun.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! Those cows are sure interested in your dad's golf game. I wonder if they talk like California cows do (on TV at least) and if so, what they'd say about your dad's game!
ReplyDeleteThose cows are sure cute, but not as cute as you guys! My dad likes to golf too. Our courses have lots of chicken poop!
ReplyDeleteMochi
I get to go play on the golf course lots. John works at one. He is the superintendent. That means I get to go over there whenever he wants me to come out. I love it! I want to go everyday but that means that I would spend less time with my favorite mommy, Kelly! I love to chase the geese and the stupid blue heron. He poops on the greens!
ReplyDeleteHave fun and Dad says to fix your ball marks!
Ozzie Woods
hehe.. our person is agreeing with your mum.. those cows are cute! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe hope you all have a very happy new year.
Love,
Holly & Zac
I'm not sure what "golf" is...and I'm not sure those are the kind of golf-ers those big black things are...but if it makes your daddy happy, GO FOR IT!! Heheheh!!! Watch out for poopy!
ReplyDeleteMya Boo Boo
That's cool he got to go every month this year! I hope you get more snow soon! Mom and Dad don't have patience for golf which is weird because Mom can sit for hours working on a cross stitch or other craft project and Dad can work for hours on a vehicle. When Mom was in highschool and her PE class was doing a gold unit, the teacher actually told Mom she could sit out for the unit after the 2nd day. Mom took that as a hint that she was tearing up the grass a little too much.

Did those "Cow Boys" cry "Fore"??
ReplyDeleteoh now I check out the darn pictures there are either more than "four" or less. So I cannot make a witty comment.
Luckily my Pa has not discovered the joys of golf yet, well he did a few years back but he broke a window with his happy golfing on the park, so that was kinda the end of his golf career.......;0)
I have not written my New Year Poem yet, but called by to wish you all, the very Best for 2009!
love and New Year Licks, Marvin The Confused.......xxxxxxxx
Mom's kansas friends say they are calling for a blizzard out your way, Ammy! I hope you get enough snow to play in very soon. I bet you're extra cute in the snow.
ReplyDeleteLove Shiloh
My mum is going gaga over those cows. She had a pet calf when she was growing up. I hope she doesn't get any ideas about getting another one.

Cows!
ReplyDeleteDo you think they wanted to play golf aswell?
Hi, friends!
ReplyDeleteYou Dad had a big crowd following his game!
I am sure he enjoyed it a lot!
Kisses and hugs

Ha roooo - that was too funny!!! Hope your Dad was out there in the early part of the day as it got pretty chilly here late afternoon. Quite the wind kicking up too!!!
ReplyDeleteHow did you Dad know it was coyote poop? Mom wants to be sure she doesn't step in any on our walkies.
Woos, the OP Pack
Fore! That's what Mom yells when Jefferson Pagoda is incoming. Moo sure does rhyme with woo. Careful that those hoofed creatures don't get any closer! Get very worried if Mom starts hearing them woo. These humans are so unpredictable.

Cute cows! Judging by the lawns and shorelines, seagull & Canadian Goose hooey have to be the obstacles on our local courses! We do have 3 packs of coyotes living on the island, so who knows?
ReplyDeleteHope it snows for ya!
Woos & a-roos,
Star & Jack a-roo
That's alot of nice moo moo there..

Hi Ammy!
ReplyDeleteI am glad your dad got to go out and have some fun! Seems he was pretty popular with those cows! It's snowing at my house now, we already have almost an inch, I will tell the weatherman to send it to you guys next time since it's too cold for me and my Owners always complain about driving in it.
-Tibby
I sure hope your Dad doesn't get any ideas either! You should point out that those beasts won't fit on Dave's quilt. And what would Oswald think? There goes the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteECHO
Wow, your dad must be really good at golf. He's got his own cheerleading squad!!
ReplyDeleteSteve
Funny, we were always told that there is a lot of Bull involved in golf and we did not understand that, but now we see the cows.
