Serene Scenery Sunday

Hi everypuppy and everycat! It's me - Amber, here with Serene Scenery Sunday! I collected some very peaceful pictures for you this week; shall we get started?

Here's some of that "Snow-on-the-Mountain" stuff. Zimmie found this at the Kansas Ocean.

DSCN1314

Here's another look:

DSCN1322

Isn't it pretty? If only it was real snow... on a real mountain! And here's an interesting tree:

DSCN1323

Didn't Zim find some serene things there? How about a little closer to home? What's out in front of Ao4 Headquarters?

DSCN1334
Uh-oh.

Adrill and Theplumbers are back. Again. Zim's happy... Mom and Dad, not so much. Let's move along.

How about some cool small 's' storm pix?

DSCN1377

Nothing like a good thunderstorm right at sunset!

DSCN1388

Aren't the pictures cool?

DSCN1027
Oooooh!

But... I did say "
thunderstorm", didn't I? Mom is trying to improve her photo skills and worked at capturing some lightning. Here's a pretty cool bolt:

DSCN1395

And here's some lightning firing up the storm cloud!

DSCN1407

Aren't those pictures just ... umm... excuse me a minute, please.

Yes, Stormy? Yes... yes, I posted some of the small 's' storm pix ... What's that? Not everyone thinks small 's' storms are serene? OK... I'll stop there. Sorry, Storm.

For more storm photos in this series, please see our FlickR album for today's post.

Have a serene Sunday, everyone!
Love,
Ammy

  2. Lovely serene pics today - well apart from the storm and the angry bolt of lightening!
Cool shots though. We will visit flickr.
We have snow in summer here - quite different though from your snow on the mountain.
We agree with Pippa - the best shot is you!

  8. Ams, those thunderstorm pics are outstanding! My mom wants to use them as wallpaper for her computer..would that be alright with you? We LOVE storms, here, as long as there's no real damage-we don't like hail or twisters or wind high enough to snap tree limbs and such. But a good hard rain and rumbly thunder with a good BOOM!!! thrown in now and then is very serene, to us. I know, we're weird. The snow-on-the-mountain is a very pretty flower-variegated petals! Unusual.

Looked like it could be rather violent. We can't wait for our thunderstorms to arrive, because then it will mean, "IT IS SUMMER!!!"

  19. You are very brave. I am very afraid of storms, so I would be hiding behind Mommy if I saw that. So, you are a brave husky girl. Oh, I am happy for Zim that Anvill, I think, is back;but, I am sorry for your Mommy and Daddy. My Mommy keeps it chilly for Mack. Those Northern dogs are funny, aren't they.

  24. Hey, Ammy, we liked the storm pictures. We thought they were cool, if not quite serene. And what is wrong with the AC guys. All the humans do is look at a little plastic card and everything seems to be fine. Nothing else matters, right?

    Hey AO4 Gang,
We think that Amber's smile is the most serene picture out of all the great photos. The majority of us agree with capital "S" Storm that small "s" storms are NOT - REPEAT - NOT very serene. We had a real doozer at 2:59 AM the other night that made all of us jump up on to the king size bed in the MBR. Mom had to go up to the guest room because there wasn'tany room for her in the bed. Dad was stuck calming us down and reassuring us that we didn't live in Kansas near Toto and Dorothy. Evidently the big thunderhead was right on top of our house. It had lots of those lighning bolts and VERY LOUND AND SCARY thunder.
