I checked around the backyard, but couldn't find anything other than the Texas Quince bushes Zimmie showed you.
"Not much blooming back here yet..."
So then Mom said we should go out front and look around!
"Yea! Let's go, Mom!"
Here's a close-up of the blooms on our neighbors' ornamental fruit tree.
We've had a lot of wind and it blew some of the blooms into our grass. Doesn't this look pretty?
Bloom on our grass
It's like tiny flowers on our lawn! Pretty!
Here's a branch of the tree, with the Ao4 HQs building (AKA our house) in the background:
The sort of purply trees you see in the background on the left are our Redbuds. They aren't quite in full bloom yet; we'll be sure to show you when they are! In the meantime, here's a look at the Redbud in our other neighbors' yard; it's further along than ours are.
Me (Ammy!) in front of the neighbors' Redbud tree
We have more of that Texas Quince in our side yard; here's a close-up of one of those:
Texas Quince blooms
Mom likes the splash of color! Me? I like those ornamental fruit trees! Let's look at more!
They're so soft and foamy-looking, aren't they? Almost like snow! And here's a last look at a branch contrasted against our very blue sky!
You can almost smell it, can't you?
"Ooooh, that smells so good!"
Have a happy Friday!
Love,
Ammy

oh dearest Ammy! Thank you so much for your lovely photos of your garden. We so enjoyed yesterday, and now today, even more blooms to look at.
ReplyDeleteMy Jeannie is quite envious, all she has to show in her garden is a very pathetic Broad Bean shoot which has just emerged blinking into the cold Scottish spring inside her greenhouse ...........(Fava beans?).....
To be honest, she was so excited, she took a "bloomin" photo of it, how sad is that?
Send us some blue skies and some sunshine please. With a side order of fries. (oooops sorry I got my orders mixed up there! ;0D )
Have a lovely weekend sweet Ammy.
lotsaluv, Marvin xxxxxx

ReplyDeleteOoooh SO pretty but of course not as pretty/handsome as all of you doggies. ;) Wish we had a bit more blooming but we do have Hyacinth and a couple of daffodils. :) It's slow around here and can you believe we got a freak snowstorm yesterday...how rude for it to come on my birthday. :) Nothing stuck though so that was nice.

ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us on the tour. We are not getting many blooms yet here.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect because Mom loves the flowers but they bug the heck out of her allergies. These ones sure don't.
ReplyDeleteThat last one is my favorite against the gorgeous blue sky! What happened to all of the snow?! It is already too hot here in Arizona. I'm a bit jealous of your weather and scenery.
