Some of you have left comments lately wondering how we can have some toys that are over 5 years old. Well, trust me, not all of them last that long - but most of them do. And why? Because some are designated as "backyard supervised toy only". Meaning Mom has eyes on us the whole time and we're usually actively engaged with her and the toy the whole time. There are some times, though...
"Hey Mom! What's that down there on our fence?"
It was a Cardinal she's been trying to photograph. I told her I'd stay right here and play with my fun Loopie toy.
So while Mom did this:
Cardinal on our fence
...I did this:
"Oooh, I think I've got a little hole started..."
And because Mom's real BIG, hard & fast rule is that we are NOT allowed to swallow toy parts or stuffing...
"I'll just lay the stuffing over there..."
Mom would have confiscated it if I started eating the stuffing; that can really mess up your tummy-tum and other connected body parts.
I had a blast de-stuffing; I don't do that very often, but it was really fun. And it's actually just a little hole and Mom said the toy is still very usable! Woo!
Happy Shredurday, everybody! Ha woo.
Luv,
Dave
hehehe! Good job Dave! I like how carefully you piled up all the stuffing! Darwin doesn't eat the stuffing either but she usually leaves a trail of it all over the house!
ReplyDeleteExcellent work. Not sure why, but we have the same toys under supervision only rule too. Oh, well, we do have Rusty to chew on and he is quite the squeaky toy.
ReplyDeleteShredurday!!! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteGood job!
Our mom is the same way about us eating toy parts. We don't even get stuffed toys to play with much at all. We can look at them lol.
Have a great weekend!
Lots of Luv & Kisses

Hi Dave, we have missed you and the gang.
ReplyDeleteGood work with the stuffie - our stuffies last cos they get sewn back up!
We don't eat the stuffing either - well let's face it there is no taste.
We loved your collage and the cardinal pics.
love and kisses

Good going Dave!! You sure piled up the stuffing really quick!! Your mom is very smart to keep an eye on you and the others...that stuff comes out really easy with dog teeth! Holly doesn't eat her's but she sure loves to destuff the toys...leaving a great big mess. Love the word "Shredurday"....great one! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
ReplyDeleteHey Dave!

Hey I like to destuff all my toys too, especially if there's one of those squeeky things inside. My momma keeps restuffing and sewing them, then she finally gives up and doesn't give them back. Maybe she should watch me closer, huh?
ReplyDeleteNIce job, Dave! I destuff mine carefully like that too. No t Moo. First thing she did when she got here was to eat a stuffie. Thankfully there were no hard parts and it eventually came out both ends. One eye got hoorka'd up, and mom found the other looking back at her from a pile of Moo poo -- Ha-roo roo roo! Pretty funny, if it wasn't so seriously dangerous!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, we thought it was going to be an Ammy post.
a-roos to yous,
jack a-roo & moo too
w00fs, me hasnt tored up but one toy since me been here...me cant help it cause its little leggie fell off..

We all love destuffing our toys too! We don't eat it either!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Davy!
Holly
Dave, you did a great job of de-stuffing the toy a bit while leaving enough for you to still be able to play with it! Very clever! Cute photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Dave. Maybe you could pretend that you just shed a lot of fur instead of shredding. Just an idea.

Moms are so NOT fun. leashes, no de stuffing, no killing moles (juno's newest favorite)... geez, they always rain on a Sibe's parade. it's a good thing they come with delicious foodables, or they'd be fired! ;) (or at least I would. just speakin' from experience.)
ReplyDeleteGood Morning,

My toys last a long time too because most of them are locked up. Sheesh. But I do have a toy basket full of things that I take very good care of. But sometimes it is time to retire a toy whether mom likes it or not, right?

Sam has a thing about bears. He will rip on other toys, but all of his bears are in perfect condition - and a couple of them he has had since he was a pup!

I love de-stuffing too....Great work!
