What Day Was It?!!?

Woo, everypup and everycat! It's me, Dave! Do you know what yesterday was? No... I don't mean No Labor Day.

"Wait for it, friends!"

Yesterday was ...

"SQUEAKY FISH DAY!!!"

That's right!
Squeaky Fish and I played...

...and played...

...and played! Squeaky Fish almost took a header off the wall under the Amur Maples once, but I saved him!

"Gotcha, Squeaky Fish!"

It was a scary moment, but it worked out OK!

Squeaky Fish also took a little wrong turn into the
garden by the upper gate, but I was real careful in there and got Squeaky Fish to safety.

"Come on, Squeaky Fish!"

Since it was pretty toasty out (in the 90s), Squeaky Fish and I helped Mom wash the lower deck off after our yard time; we both enjoyed splashing around a little bit! It was so much fun! I wish all of you could have been here!

Luv,
Dave

PS: For those who might wonder about the leash... our neighbors to the south now have a couple cats and some kittens who come into our yard a lot. Mom doesn't want me to ... umm ... escort the little guys out of here, so the leash is there as a safety thing.

  1. Wow you were so happy, Dave!

I don't think I saw a single photo where you had all four paws on the ground. You were really flying!

And you know what? Cats deserve all the discomfort they can get.

  6. now that I think about it, Reuben played with his squeaky cat today. It's the same toy as the fish, but it's the blue one in this pic. http://www.mypamperedpets.co.nz/mediac/400_0/media/ruffians.jpg

  8. Ode To Squeaky Fish.

Squeaky Fish only has to appear on your blog,

    and.....

I become a helpless jelly, a really useless kinda dog.

Cos I love Squeaky Fish and the way he makes Dave Smile,

Squeaky Fish for President I bark,
and for more than just a while.

Squeaky Fish forever, and Dave for even more.

If joy in life was counted by Squeaky Fish and dear Dave's pure Joy

Well I would be a very happy & contented Marvin Boy.

ps I think the leash is a good idea. Of course it spoils the fun, but, in my life experience, still a very, very good idea.

Also I cannot rhyme the word CAT.

It may look simple but it is not in my vocabulary, any longer. At all. Indeed. Really trying not to think about CATs now........really. Honestly.......

"hmmmm think Squeaky Fish, Squeaky Fish, Squeaky Fish......." "ooops Squeaky CAT, squeaky CAT".........

  9. I love your squeaky fish! Speaking of...my mom bought me a really annoying (to her) squeaky fish. I need to take a photo for you!

That is awful nice of your mom to leash you up so you don't "escort" them out. :)

  10. I owe my squeaky fish play all to Dave. You look much happier with yours than I do with mine, I just get too intense with it, although Dad does leave it out all the time now (lazy dad fish) so I can play with it any time I like so it is not as special as it used to be, although I can now bring it inside to play with. How's that for a sentance? I guess I do still get excited about Squeaky Fish.

My squeaky fish landed under the TV stand last night, it just bounced there after I dropped it, honest. I then started pawing at the glass shelf that holds the equipment until lazy dad fish got up and got it for me.

Thanks Dave, and you look great, great, great, playing with your Fish that Squeaks.

  11. Oh yes, the squeaky cat is very loud, too. But not near as loud as a Cuz. So if you think you don't want anything louder, avoid the Cuz. That thing goes crazy all over the house. lol
