Bed Tossing 101

Ha roo, pups and cool cats!  It's me, Zim!  Before we get started, I'd like to dedicate this post to two of my Siber-buddies, Zorro and Shiloh.  I think they'll understand why, given the title of my post.  Oh, is my new little  recruit  sister doing me proud!

You saw the other day how skilled she is with the bone-shaped bed - and now she's moved on to the big, fluffy, quilt-covered bed by the fireplace!  As I taught her, she goes slowly and calmly - so Mom won't think she's "up to something".

"I'm just going to lay here and take a little nap, Mama."

Excellent.

Just as she lulls Mom into a false sense of complacency, she goes for it!

"I've got it, Aunt Cammie!  I've got it!"
"Maggie... gently, Maggie!  Just toss, don't chew."

You have to admire her strength, don't you?  Cam was right there with her, every step of the way, spotting her to make sure she didn't injure herself.  I came over to check her work.

"Wait, I'm not done!"
"Good girl, Maggie!"
"Atta girl, Mags!"

She's got serious skills!

"Let me bunch the quilt a little more!"
"Use your feety-feet!"
"Let's see your work, little one!"

And she's only been here a week!

"What do you think, Zimmie?"
"Didn't she do well, Zim?!?"
"Oh, Maggie!  I couldn't be prouder of you!"

"What does Zimmie mean by 'If Mom's taking pictures, we aren't in trouble'?"
"Mom's always saying funny stuff, Maggie.
Oh... God DID make Siberians cute, didn't He?  Look at us!"

Anyway - I had to share.  I'm just bursting at the seams proud of our little Maggie!  Shiloh, Zorro - I know you guys understand where I'm coming from and knew you'd share my joy!  I can't wait to show her how to make a really cool snow fort!

Play bows,
Zim

  6. I can't wait to see you teach her how to make a snow fort! I went back and read all the posts from this week as mom has been working late every nite and we are way behind. It looks like Maggie is doing a great job and you and Cam are teaching her everything she needs to know. I love the bed tossing that's going on. Your mom will never be able to keep up with all 3 of you tossing beds!

  12. Better tell your mom to watch out. I'm 5 and I STILL do the SAME THING!!! Only, for some reason, my mom doesn't seem as impressed as yours. What's up with that?

  13. Maggie is a natural! Or maybe she just has a super good teacher.

PS. We think that when Maggie gets bigger, it might be hard to tell her and Cammie if you can't see their faces!
