Greetings From the Prime Minister

Greetings to all of you in the Blogosphere!  It's me, Polargold's Margaret Thatcher, here with my first post.  Many thanks to all of you for the warm welcome.  It's a delight to be in my new home and to already have such lovely friends out there!  I have so much to tell you about, but I'll be as concise as possible.

Yesterday, I had my first visit with the good folks at the Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University.  My job there was to greet many, many people.  They were all very kind to me and I maintained a proper lady-like demeanor the entire time.  I spent a great deal of time with two of the veterinary technicians, Beth and Kandice.  In honor of Vet Tech Week, I had my mom create a special collage representing the hard work I did with them:

It was exhausting work, as you can imagine!

"What?  You think it's easy looking this cute and cuddly?!?"

Everyone in the room did that "Squeeeee" thing when I did this:

Yes, I pretended to fall asleep with my head in Kandice's hand.  Or maybe I  really did.  I'm not telling. A Prime Minister is entitled to a few secrets.

What I remember most from my visit is getting lots and lots of love from EVERYONE (oh, what a wonderful place to go!  I love it there, just like Cammie and Zim said I would!) and everyone saying what a nice puppy I am.  Not only did they say I am a very healthy puppy, but they had wonderful things to say about my family and breeders back at Polargold.  They said how nice it is to have a puppy who is used to being handled (I let them touch me everywhere without the slightest fuss), and remained calm and quiet throughout my visit.  Why wouldn't I?  Everyone was so very kind and loving!  They all were very complimentary of Team Polargold's breeding practices and for presenting such a well-socialized puppy.  That's me!

When I got home, Auntie Cam and Zim greeted me with enthusiasm, then sniffed me from head to toe. I assured them that I had been treated splendidly and told them everyone asked after them.  After that, I spent some time in my private retreat:

Once I had recharged my batteries, I came out and spent some play time with Cam.

The laces are yummy as well

Zim also played with us, but all the photos with him came out blurry.  I don't know why.  Are any of you familiar with the Crazed River Otter game?  I get to play the role of the crazed river otter puppy!

I've been studying Zim quite carefully, and have already learned so much from him!  I had my mom make another collage, showcasing my skills with the bone-shaped bed!  Take a look:

Zim said I seem to have a lot of raw talent in the field of bed tossing and promised to work with me! I'm so very excited! Auntie Cam is right -- Zim is not only a wonderful big brother, he's a GREAT mentor! (Note to Teddy Westlife in Australia: a Prime Minister cannot have too many mentors! I'd be delighted to take you up on your kind offer!)

We also had toy time last night; here is a shot of Auntie Cam and me:

Isn't she beautiful? I want to be just like her and Zimmie when I grow up!

Thank you for reading my first ever blog post, and once again for the warm welcome.

Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

  5. Wow you sure had a fun time for being at the VET! Your mom is lucky that one of the vet techs didn't take you home with her. She looked like she sure enjoyed snuggling with you.

OH my stars! Maggie! It's so nice to meet you! I saw the posts of Cammie wishin' for a little furkid just like woo! And before you know it, woo arrived! We love your name. We had a Maggie too, and though she was first "Maggie" we often called her "Margaret" when we wanted to be serious or official with her! We thank you for offering to shred up any bad spirochetes. Sometimes he could use a break and for someone to step in... :) Cheers and welcome to your new family!
