Serene Scenery Sunday

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie, here with Serene Scenery Sunday.  Today, I have a collection of different photos Mom took out on her birding/wildlife photo sprees this week.  It's our hope that these photos will help add some serenity to your day - shall we get started?

This first one is especially for our friend Leah:

Monarch Butterfly

Mom took that up at the Milford Nature Center. They have some normally wild animals in captivity there, being rehabbed after injuries. One such animal is this Bald Eagle:

Here's a much, much smaller bird, out in the wild:

We like this next shot that Mom took out at Tuttle Creek State Park:

"I'm king of the - hey!  Hey, no pictures!"
"I'm gonna take you down!" 

That must have been The Day of the Turtle, because look at who else she saw:

"All aboard!  Turtle bus leaving soon!"

Those guys got along much better than the other two!

And even though Mom was focused on this Great Blue Heron, look at who photo-bombed the picture:

Mom wasn't expecting the turtle, but she's really happy the turtle showed up!

Speaking of things not exactly turning out ... here's a heron shot Mom has been laughing about since she took it. She calls it the ZZ Top Heron:

"♪♫ She's got legs ... and knows how to use them ...♩♬"

Was Mom out in the sun too long, or do you see the resemblance to the guys in ZZ Top?
