Our Visitor, Part 4

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie.  Before I get started with today's post, Cammie wanted me to thank all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes!  We had a great time celebrating her special day -- and YES!  We capped it off with pear slices!

Mom thought it would be a great idea to do a portrait of us with Teddy Westlife to commemorate the day.  Mom got everything together and Cam and I got into position.

"Come on, Teddy!  Up here on the landing!"
"Mr. Westlife?  Where are you?"

I heard some rustling, then ...

"Sigh."
"Mr. Westlife?  What are you--a bag?  Really?  Are they as fun as boxes?"
"Definitely, Mags.  You need to try it."

"Teddy.  Get up here.  Mom has treats."
"Yeah, Mr. Westlife.  She has TREATS!"

Mr. Westlife ditched the bag quicker than you could say "tunas" and got into position with us!

"Much better!"
"Did I hear the word 'tuna'???"
"Quick, Mom!"

The photoshoot in the bag (so to speak), Mr. Westlife and I went off to pursue other interests.

"Yeah.  I can see why you like the sitzbank so much.  You know what we should try, though ..."
"What, Mom?"

Honestly, it's like my mom doesn't trust the two of us to be alone together.  Can you believe that?  I mean, just how much trouble could the two of us get into?

Don't answer that.

Anyway, having been escorted off the sitzbank, Mr. Westlife and I went into the living room.  Mom was in the kitchen, so I posed the big question to my mentor:

"This one, Mr. Westlife.  It just looks SO comfy, but I'm not sure about getting up there!"

He came over, jumped up, and tossed that khaki pillow on the floor!  Why didn't I think of that?!? That meant there was plenty of room up there!  I had only been up there a second or two when ...

"Oh.  Hi, Mom.  Umm..."
"What?  You said I should make myself at home."

This has been the coolest visit ever!  I am learning so much from my mentor!  Be sure to tune back in tomorrow for the final day of his visit.
