It Seems Like It Was Just Yesterday...

Hi everypupppy and everykitty, it's me, Ammy.  Can you tell what's wrong with this picture of me?

Me - with something missing

And this one of Zimmie?

Zimmie - with something missing

I'll give you a hint.   Mom keeps saying today, "It seems like it was just yesterday that it was in the 60s out there..."  Well, it WAS!  Isn't that horrible!?!?  We had such lovely, frigid, snowy weather... then BAM!  It was in the 60s.  And all of our snow is gone.  GONE!  Hrumph.  I can only hope that it went to our friends somewhere - like to Meeshka, who sadly has been void of snow this season.

It did make for a lovely sunset last night:

Dave felt inspired by the colors, as usual.

Overnight, the weather turned very wild.  VERY stormy (with a small 's'), lots of lightning and rain, and incredible winds.  Over 50 mph.  Then the winds shifted and blew some ice in.  THEN we woke up to this stuff:

That's it on the driveway.  Can you see it?  Tiny, little frozen pellets.

It looks like a styrofoam cup exploded!

The good news is that it's currently in the 20s, windy, and some flurries are flying around.  That's the way it SHOULD be!  Whew.  Crazy Kansas!

I hope whoever got our snow takes good care of it.  We sure enjoyed it while it was at our house!

Love,
Ammy

  13. That's too bad. You don't suppose you melted it by playing too hard in it, do you? Sounds like you're about to get some more, so perhaps happy days are ahead -- at least for you guys. Not for the folks who have to drive in it.

  16. Oh, what a beautiful sky!!!! And yes, what's up with this wild and wacky KS weather? Almost 70 here yesterday and then today!!!! T-storms, 80 mph winds, freezing rain, and now light snow. We wish if it is going to snow, we could at least get some drifts.

  20. Hi Guys,
Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Looks like you got some yummy things to eat. We love that pic of all four of you sitting in front of the tree. We got some snow on our little holiday in the mountains over the weekend. I think Dixie is a Sibe as she just loved the stuff. She kept running her nose along the ground under it and turned into a snow beagle! I on the other hand didn't care mush for it as its just rain in disguise! Anyway mum says she will post about our snow adventure tomorrow.

  21. Hi AO4!
All of my snow melted here too! But I wasn't too sad about that until it started to rain! Now the ground is all muddy and I have to be careful not to get my feet too dirty!

  22. Our snow went away right as everyone else got it, but it still has not come back. We are very disappointed. We got down to 3F the other day, and still no snow.
