Fun At the Castle

Ha roo, pups and cool-cats! It's me - Zim! We've been working hard around Ao4 Headquarters lately - you know, posing for pictures, helping in the Studio, holding Mom's feet down... that sort of thing. In addition to all that, it's important to take time out for a cool adventure or two (or three or four...) during the course of the day. I thought I'd share some pix of me and Dave from the other day when we were out exploring in lieu of Photo Finish Friday this week.

We decided to head up to what we've referred to in the past as the Giant's castle. Dave and I hadn't been up there in a while, so we were anxious to check it out.

I think we turn right at the light up there, Dave!

Once we got up there, we saw this cool planter full of pretty flowers:

Dave and some cool flowers

We were surprised they were still blooming, given our cold weather lately! Then Dave thought maybe we'd overshot our mark. We'd been walking REALLY long and so based on what he saw...

Woo! Asian-influenced architecture to that pagoda-looking thing...

...he thought maybe we'd walked all the way to China! Ha roo roo roo!

We've been hearing some interesting sounds late at night from Ao4 HQs and Dave discovered the source of that!

A jazz bar!

Sadly, they do not allow Siberians in the jazz bar. Hardly seems right to me - especially given Dave's love of jazz.

We explored up there a little more, then headed home.

Let's blow this pop stand, Dave!
OK. Oh, wait a minute ... I need to mark this. Move over.

I saw this cool box on the way back and stopped to pose.

Hey Dave! Check this out. Ha roo roo roo! We have to take a shot of this for Ammy!

He didn't get it at first - so I told him to look at the little sticker that was pointing at me. Check it out:

Ha roo roo roo! "Fault indicator". Ha roo roo roo!

She's gonna like that one, Dave!
They say the best jokes are seated in truth... err... no offense, little bro!

Thanks for coming along on our cool adventure with us. I hope all of you get out there and do some exploring of your own!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. It's very important work holding your Mom's feet down; I have noticed that if I am not sitting/lying on them, my own Mom's feet have a tendency to just go flying around. So good work there!

  3. Hi Zim & Dave
Have you guys thought of getting a sat nav?
We realise it is unusual for males to get lost but China!
Anyway it is just a suggestion.
What do they mean not letting siberians into the jazz bar? Don't they know how cool you guys are and haven't they heard you on the saxaphone?
    Did Ammy like the joke?
Good exploring - even though you did overshoot!!!
    love and kisses

  7. Hey A04 gang,
I thought of Zim & Ammy the other day at obedience class when I met the cutest red husky puppy with 2 blue eyes! His name is Indiana and he is super-smart, like you guys!
Thanks for posting those amazing sunset pics earlier, that sky is incredible. My human says it's God's little reminder that he's there :-)

  10. What a great walk! All the way to China this time! We thought it was so cool the other day when you ended up at the Kansas Ocean. You guys really go to the best places. I don't understand why they wouldn't let you in the Jazz bar though...they don't know what they are missing. It's good to hold your mom's feet down at all times along with keeping them warm! Thanks for taking us for the walk again!

  15. Hi Guys,

Very interesting neighborhood with cool houses! It's fun to go on walks like that. We think you can learn a lot about hoomans by the kind of houses they live in, don't you?

Have a fun weekend and we always enjoy your post.

    Luv,

Now that's discrimination! Jazz and Siberians are like Apple Pie and Ice Cream. Or like peanut butter and jelly!

I donno Zim, we think there should be a boycot on that joint.

    Hey Zim,
Whose fault indicator was it. Can it indicate the San Andreas fault? Is Dave's last name Brubeck? That would explain "all that jazz" stuff. Aren't jazz men some kind of smelly vines that grows here in Virginia?

  23. Is the Giant's castle a shopping mall now? I'm not sure about that. Where does he hide the princess? I'm pretty sure most giants are supposed to kidnap princesses and hide them in their castle.
