Serene Scenery Sunset Sunday

Tail wags, all! It's me, Stormy. In looking through the photos we had Mom take during the week, we realized the ones that made us feel the most serene were all of the sunset from a few nights ago! Since I had to put up with a thunderstorm all night the other night...

Make it go away!

...I thought I'd post a bunch of the soothing sunset pix. They fit with the whole "Red sky at night, Sibe's delight" saying. You know, smooth sledding and all. Here's a panorama to get you started:

You can click it to go to FlickR and see it larger, if you'd like.

Let's zoom in a little...

...and just a wee bit more!

Just a few minutes later, here's what the sky looked like:

Look at those layers of black and yellow and orange and ... EVERYTHING! (These photos are not altered in any way!) Here's another look:

And let's pan out a bit:

It was a beautiful evening! And indicated no small 's' storms! Now that's my idea of serene!

Have a beautiful Sunday!

Storms

  10. We are experiencing totally beautiful sunrises and sunsets here in the frozen north with Kilts attached.

Hopefully the kilts are not frozen ;0)

Lovely pics btw! Such wonderful views.

We are now entering the Firework season which is driving The Zen Dog totally manic.

For some bizarre reason, we still celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, many hundreds of years after he tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament, (kinda wish he had suceeded tbh).......and now Zen Dog has to endure long nights of explosions.

    Lovely pics.

    Your friends.

    xx

  11. Eek! Too bad about the thunderstorm. As I'm sure you can imagine, they're not welcomed here, either..

The sunset photos are lovely, though! How awesome that you get to see such a great sight.

So, Storms, since we are looking for snow, are you ok with thunder snow? Or is that on the bad list too?

    Hey Army Brats,
Great photographs. The second sunset on almost looks like a volcano erupting. Those are pretty spectactular. Soory that you had an all night thunderstorm; they really can be upsetting.

  27. You can read the sky and predict the weather? Cool! I thought those clouds meant rain, no? I will just have to wait and see.
