Happy Birthday and Our Visitor, Part 3

Greetings to all!  It's me, Maggie, here with more highlights from our visit with Mr. Teddy Westlife.  Before I get started, though, I'd like to wish Cammie a VERY happy seventh birthday!!!

"Happy birthday, CamCam!  I love you!"
"Awww... thank you, little one!!!  I love you, too!"

She is the bestest big sister/aunt/playmate a puppy could ask for!

OK, so as most of you know, we got some snow the other day.  Mr. Westlife isn't quite as keen on the snow and below freezing temperatures as Cam and I are, but it doesn't mean he can't come up with some great ideas!  I especially liked this one:

"Maggie!  What are you--"
"I'm digging to China, Mom!  What did you THINK I was doing?"

Apparently digging in the snow is an acceptable activity here at Ao4 Headquarters, but going down into the frozen ground isn't.  Who knew?  It was still a great idea!

Cam and I always take a nice, long morning walk to get in some PT. Mr. Westlife didn't really want to go the whole route with us, but said he'd meet up with us somewhere along the way.

"Keep your eyes peeled, Mags.  He could be anywhere."
"There he is up--nah.  Squirrel!  It was a squirrel."

He wasn't anywhere on the Hudson Trail.  We got closer to home and I spotted the Nativity scene some of our neighbors put up.  With this being Orthodox Christmas and all, I went over to pay my respects to everyone when ...

"Mr. Westlife!!!"
"Hey, Mags.  Look at me - I'm one of the Wise Men!"

Mr. Westlife went on to tell me that he was sure that the Wise Men being wise MUST have had a cat with them.  Before he could finish the story and give the backup references Cammie asked for, he leapt up onto the roof!

"Mr. Westlife!  What are you doing up there?"
"That bell.  It's shiny.  I.  Must.  Have it!!!"

I think it's a cat thing.

Anyway, later on, we came upon a field where the snow had mostly melted away.  It was there that Mr. Westlife and Cammie pursued a common interest!

"We've got this, Cam.  We've got this..."
"I'm on it, Teddy.  DINNER!"

Wow, are those two silent, efficient hunters! And who knew Mr. Westlife was so into birding?!?
