Who?

Hey everypup! It's me - Stormy! As many of you know, I just love puppies. Imagine how delighted I was to see an email from our Aunt Janet the other day about a puppy her neighbor rescued! Well... sort of. Here's a look at the dear little pup.

Who?

Aunt Janet said he is a baby Great Horned Owl. He fell out of his nest and into the canal/creek that runs behind their house. Oh no! Poor owl-puppy! Her across-the-creek neighbor fished him out with her pool skimmer! She watched over him and made sure the owl-puppy's mama came back and took care of him. Whew! Aunt Janet said he was cute ... but really mad! I would be, too, if I fell in the canal!

We're SO glad Aunt Janet's neighbor took care of the owl-puppy! I just had to share with you! I've got to go ask Amber if she knows WHO Aunt Janet's neighbor rescued. Ha roo roo roo. This is going to be fun!

Tail wags,
Storm

What a great post! We especially love the photo, which is so unbelievably FLUFFY. Ari says she thinks you're a great caninaturalist. I agree!

  3. We have all these owls around our house that always yell "who" during the night. Meeps will answer back with "wooo!"

  6. Did Horton Hear a Who? Yoo hoo, Storms. I'm glad there are people looking out for owl pups. I bet his Momma was worried sick. That owl pup looks as if he could blow a coat too!

    Who said that?

  7. Mmmmmmm, looks like chicken to us, harooooo! Hope your humans have given you all a rest from all that yard work today, you poor pups! It's about time for them to start that here at our house too, the lady even said something about hooking us up to a sled to pull all the brush out back, we think NOT! That sounds like human work to us!!! Face Licks, M&M

  8. Oh another cute ball of fluff! Even if it doesn't have 4 paws. Sometimes an owl visits the tree outside Mom's bedroom window. She makes a big deal about it every time.

  10. That owl-pup looks yum-- uh, cute and fluffy. I admire your maternal instincts, Stormy, really! Amber will probably laugh at the joke and wonder why she didn't think of it first.

On another note, doesn't this look like Dave? Is it Dave? http://ihasahotdog.com/2007/12/08/dun-touch-dat-dial

Cute little owl-puppy! We're glad kind people rescued him before some wild thing made him into supper. Star said there used to be a family of owls in these big trees she used to walk by, and you had to keep an eye out cause the BIG owls would swoop down really close to make the humans stay away!
