Hi everypuppy, it's me - Ammy! For some good background music to this post, please open this link in a new tab or window. :)
Yesterday afternoon, we had this roll in:
Before it hit, Mom took us all out for a quick potty trip to the front yard. We saw a member of the Robin family out gathering food for the Robin puppies. Both Mama and Dad Robin bring tweets home for the little ones and are really protective of them. There was a lot of wind with the storm that blew in, so when the worst of it was past us, our mom and dad went out to check on the babies. Mom shot this video; you have to look closely, but you can see Mama in there, hunkered down over the Robin pups! The Robins are VERY good parents, aren't they? After they rode the storm out, the little Robins were hungry, so they went out to get more squirmy-wormies for them. Here are the babies!
Tweets!?!? Tweets?!?! Tweets!?!?
They were VERY hungry!
Love,
Ammy
PS: Our most sincere condolences to our very dear friend Tubey and his family. Their human made a very difficult decision last night and released Niki from her earthly body. Niki runs healthy and free now, and has no doubt has had a happy reunion with her former owner. God's blessings on them ALL.
I bet Mr. and Mrs. Robin are having an easy time finding worms with all the rain and storms that you have been getting!

Mama and Papa Robin are pretty good parents! Better than some humans you know.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad we don't get storms like you do - I am terrified of them.

Ammy,
ReplyDeleteGreat pawrents, those robins. Cute pups too. Their mouths are almost as big as Sparta's.
We will pray for Tubey's fam.

You have a lot more storms than we do. I'd be living in my storm shirt and have my Rescue Remedy via a IV if lived in KS.

Hey Dorothy! How's Oz? Haroorooroo!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the tweets are safe!
We are all very sad to hear of Niki passing to the bridge. She is now at peace, and with her former owner.

What great parents! Glad to see that all the family is doing well even during those bad storms you are having. Do you have this kind of stormy weather every year?
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your friend Niki.

I think I saw Toto up there in the sky! With all these scary storms those robins might be flying before they're quite ready! Maybe they could live inside with you. I'm sure your Mom wouldn't mind.

That last picture of the robin puppy looks like Sinjin barking for treats!
ReplyDeleteI hope he's not as loud as Sinjin!
