New Mulch!

Ha roo, pups and cool cats.  It's me, Zim.  Dave and I would like to start this post off with a musical interlude - sung to this tune.  We're dedicating this to our Mom and Dad.

"Start spreading the mulch....

DSCN1025 Dave and Zim

...they're weeding today...

DSCN1028 Dave and Zim

...we want to BE a part of it...

DSCN1029 Zim and Dave

...new mulch, new mulch!!!!!"

That's as much as we've got.  Hey, this is the Little Apple, not the Big Apple, so it only figures our song is shorter.  Besides, if I get this right, Mom and Dad are going to take all of this:

...and spread it in that front garden Dave showed you yesterday.

DSCN1034 Dave
"All of this, Zim?!?!"

That looks like an awful lot of work!

"Err... how about me and Zim supervise?  From inside the house?"

Mom and Dad said that would be just fine. (Whew!) Apparently, some of the mulch is going down here, too:

Remember Dave showed you that tier yesterday? Mom and Dad dug up a huge Maiden Grass yesterday, cut the root ball up, then transplanted some of it here and a couple others in different parts of the garden. Cool, huh? I hope it lives!

Anyway, we've got our work cut out for us today. Now that the mulch is here, we need to walk Mom and Dad, then they'll ..."Start spreading the mulch...." Ha roo roo roo! Mom's going to have that stuck in her head the WHOLE time!

Play bows,
Zim

  1. Project time! The results surely will be amazing! My mom's been plodding in our backyard... tackling those giant prickly monsters that creep over from the creek behind us...youza.
Hope you had a great walk, and some serious mulch supervising! :)

    Sweet hugs,

  2. We agree - supervising from inside would be a great idea. Mom says she stays away from the grand-parents get the mulch...

Wow, very creative! I once had a pile of mulch in our driveway, probably about 2x that size. well, it was nightmare to spread! i swear i would shovel it into wheelbarrow and then go back for more and it look like it NEVER got smaller the pile! that stuff takes longer than it looks to shovel and spread out. I don't envy your mom right now! that's a lot of work!

  5. phew, so glad you wrote the words down cos our speakers are not plugged in yet (refurbishment, refurbishment....blah bark blah).

I would bark, in my humble Marvin opinion, it is Mulch Ado About Nothing.........

But I can see that would be taking it Mulch too far.

    Happy supervising! love Marvin xx

    This brown woody stuff,
    Is covering the ground.
The plants will grow inside of it.

  11. Did you guys get to dig or roll in it? We love to tear open bags of mulch and spread it around ... but never where it is wanted.
