Here I am, ready to head out:
"C'mon! Let's get this party started!" |
We headed up to the water tower area. Mom and Dad didn't want to take us too far because even though there was a lovely breeze blowing (well... actually 40 mph wind gusts...), it was warm! We had record-breaking temps - our official high was 92°F (33.3°C). Dave and I aren't used to that yet! We were OK with a shorter walk - there are GREAT sniffing opportunities by the water tower!
"I smell coyotes!" |
We hear the coyotes at night; I think the water tower area is one of their stomping grounds! Mom does a lot of that funny "ZimmieGetYourSnooterOutOfThere!" thing when we're up there. I have no idea what that's all about.
Here we are coming down the home stretch:
Dave and me |
As you can see, Dave was ready to hit the water bowl! I admit, we got pretty hot out there. When we got home, it was all we could do to grab a quick drink, race around doing zoomies for a bit, then get some of this in:
"ZZzzzz...." |
Never fear! After we all had dinner, we were ready to entertain Mom and Dad for a while.
The Dave and Zim Show |
Mom's zoomie shots aren't the best, but you get the idea!
I hope your weekend was as fun as ours! Oh! And the really great thing is that those 40 mph wind gusts brought in a cold front last night! The winds are still cranking out like crazy - but it's 40°F (4.4°C) now! Ahhhh.... much better! ...at least me and Dave think so!
Play bows,
Zim
I think our weather is very much like yours, except maybe our nights aren't getting as cold! It is very windy today!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time and sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteBe careful in all that wind, don't get blown away. We have winds here around 70 mph right now. EEK!
Man can you send some of that warm weather our way? So tired of the rain and cold!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun day! Especially the after dinner entertainment!
Woo, 92*???? that's quite a jump! We hear the coyotes out here too, they live down the hill. We've heard they've been sighted in the neighborhood too, but we've never seen one in our yard. Hmmm, maybe that has something to do with the fence????
ReplyDeletejack & moo
That is a big change in temperature! I hope you are well prepared.

Looks like a fun walk even though it was so hot out! Glad you got some rest before you zoomies too! Our grandpa told us about the hot weather then the winds and then some rain/hail storms so we're glad you are okay!
