Mostly I stand guard duty - in keeping with with General Orders for Sentries:
- I will guard everything within the limits of my post and quit my post only when properly relieved.
- I will obey my special orders and perform all my duties in a military manner.
- I will report violations of my special orders, emergencies, and anything not covered in my instructions to the commander of the relief.
Let's take a look at a few of my guard posts!
Sometimes I stand guard on the stair landing:
Sometimes my guard post is the front door:
And finally, the Library!
Sometimes my duties even take me into the Studio to lend a
"You aren't any further along than this?!?! Let's get MOVIN'!!!" |
And speaking of "moving"... sometimes I work my mind-meld message on Mom while in the Studio and let her know what she, Dave and I should really be doing!
"You were ready for a little PT, weren't you, Dave?" "Oh, Zim... you wouldn't believe the colors she was about to put together!" |
Sometimes it pays for all of us to take a little break!

Great job guarding! But we all need a break sometimes....like me I have to have a football break MANY, MANY times during the day.... So not only do we have the quilting thing in common -- it looks like we both love books too! How cool is that! have a fun weekend....you do know it's Super Bowl weekend! Stop on by if you get a chance!

I don't know how you do it Zim. Such talent!
ReplyDeleteWow, Zim - that's a new guarding position...I always thought guards had to stand alert to attention but you've just proved that you can do it curled up, in your sleep - hee! hee! :-)

Zim, buddy, you got to try not to work so hard. I'm really glad you got Dave to go out on some PT because you two are such hard working boys!

What is a guard dog? I guess that is the question of the day.
ReplyDeleteI do what you do in your pictures! A lot! Am I a guard dog?? Would I get more treats if I were a guard dog? If so, then is there some manual I can study and a test to pass?
Just saying, I would do anything for more treats!!
Bark at ya later!
