Serene Scenery Sunday

Woo, everypup and everycat!  It's me, Dave, here with Serene Scenery Sunday.  Many of you have heard by now about the blizzard that hit the Great Plains over the last few days.  Interstate 70, our main highway, was closed from just west of us all the way to Denver!  Parts of Kansas got over 2 feet of snow!  (For our international readers, in meters that would be ... umm ... a lot of snow.)  Friends in Nebraska, just to our north, reported getting a nice, big, fluffy snowfall!  So for this week's dose of serenity, I thought I'd show you our snow pictures!

Here I am from yesterday, during the height of the storm:

"Something's missing here..."

It kept going like that all through the day and into the night.  Here's Zim from this morning:

"Hey!  I think I see some s... no.  Just a limestone wall."

The worst of it seems to be behind us now.

" 'Great Blizzard of 2012' my left feety-feet!!!"

Yeah. I think maybe a sunset picture from a few nights ago might be a bit more serene.

That's better... isn't it?  There's always something beautiful out there, even if it isn't covered in a heavy blanket of snow!  Enjoy the day!

Luv,
Dave

  1. Sorry that you guys missed the big snow event. We have green grass here too. Normally we don't see the grass from January through March. Not that I mind the lack of snow.

  2. If Frankie doesn't get those snow guns to you ASAP, I'm going to totally disqualify him from the Too Darn Cute category. I mean, ginormous snow and you guys got NOTHING?!? That's just wrong. We'll say a few prayers to the snow gods for you.

  6. Hey Dave,
Do you guys have some sort of dome over your area that prevents and white, fluffy, fun stuff from falling on your turf?
    Blessings,

  7. That's too bad the storm ran out of snow before it got to your house! It looks like you had a nice walk anyway but maybe next time there will actually be snow!

  9. hee hee, the limestone wall fooled us too! Sorry you guys didn't get at least enough snow to build some snow forts. We hope everyone in the brunt of the storm is safe. Purrs,

  10. We're so sorry for your disappointment about the snow. Once MM is over, Abby will be able to release the impounded snow machines to Frankie and he will be free to share them with you. Until then, we're sure you will be too busy with your judging duties to miss the snow.
