My Special Getaway

Hello, everyone! It's me, Cammie! As some of you know, our dad was out of town for a few days. Maggie and I worked really hard taking care of Mom, helping with the garden, the household chores, and of course making sure Mom got enough exercise. On top of that, I did extra duty taking care of Maggie. I mean, she might be almost as big as me now, but she is still a puppy! Now that dad is home, Mom decided I deserved a little "getaway"! It's almost like she knows how hard I work, training the little one! Isn't that great?!? She thought we could relax together at Tuttle Creek State Park!

There were people all over the place, but we found one boat ramp area at the River Pond where we could be alone.

"This is great, Mom!"

It was so tranquil! Just me and Mom.

"Wait!  BIRDIES!"

And a couple of Great Blue Herons fishing!

We drove over to another area and did a little exploring:

"Let's go down here, Mom!"

We love this one overlook area on the Big Blue River!

"Ahhh!  This is just what I needed, Mom!"

Oddly, Mom said it was just what she needed, too. It's almost like she's working as hard to train and tire out Maggie as I am! Almost.
