Here it is, coming out of the dryer. See how the frayed edges are all fluffy?
Here's a close up. Those raised, frayed, fluffy seams are GREAT to roll around on! We all love how they feel rubbing our backs! (We have a quilt like this on our bed!)
I can't wait for Sitka to try it out!
Dad held it up for Mom to get some photos of it. I found it fascinating!
Mesmerizing! And fluffy!
I thought Dave should see it all fluffed out and held up like this!
Hey, Dave! You really did a great job on this! Come on in and see it while Dad's holding it up!
Well, Dave did come in, but rather than standing there admiring it, he said Dad's arms were probably getting tired and I should get out of the way. Me? In the way? That can't be right! Then I saw Stormy coming over to physically remove me (see her back there, sort of behind the quilt?) ...so I thought I should go do something else for a while.
Here's the back - it's all cut up blue jeans!
Mati was really sweet yesterday, and left a comment wondering where Am was! Oh, don't worry, Mati! We had a special request from Sitka and Amber was the perfect Sibe to see to it! See... Sitka asked for a sniffy bag of Ao4 fluff, so she could get a better sense of who we are. And Amber has the thickest, fluffiest, still-blowing-her-coat fur of all of us. :) I knew she wouldn't mind taking a brushing for Sitka! Well... maybe she did mind a little, but since all of us donated a little, too, she gave a couple swipes of the comb worth.
This is enough, isn't it, Mom?
I came in to see if Mom got enough fluff out of Am to fill our sniffy bag. (That's me, behind Amber.) Mom asked if I was volunteering to donate more. I decided to go see what Dave was doing. Amber said I left her holding the bag. Ha roo roo roo. Good one, Am.
Sitka - we all hope you enjoy your new fluffy quilt and your sniffy bag!!!
I'm off to help Mom wrap it up and get it in the mail! Happy quilt, Sitka!!! We hope you, Tia, and your mom and dad like it!
Play bows,
Zim

Oh my gosh! It is absolutly beautiful!! I sure hope your mom let ALL of you put fur on the quilt before she packed it up, ha roo!! I see a nice sniffy bag there with that quilt. I can practically smell you already. I know my family and I are going to love the quilt for MANY reasons. Just to name a few... We helped Beautiful Xia with Harnessed to Hope Northern Breed Rescue, the quilt was made by my handsome Zimmie's mom (with much assistance from Dave - and the girls) and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Oh Zimmy! It's so nice to see Am!! (Between you and me, I think Rockstar is a little smitten with Am!) But great to hear she is good (and thanks for responding too!)
ReplyDeleteYour Mom's quilt look beauuuutiful. The frayed edges look somewhat familiar....??? oh, I know! The frayed edges are like ME when I do a Husky-Don King impersonation! But a lot softer I'm sure. I agree with Mapaw and Lady Kaos - I bet you just want to roll around and take a nap. It sure does look comfy!
Thanks again for asking Am to come into the picture. Love Mati
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteZim, you and Amber look wary of the brush. Don't you like it either?

SITKA! My bee-roo-tiful friend! We're SO glad you like it! And you'll like the sniffy bag, too! Dave said after you sniff our bag-o-fur, you should sprinkly it all over your living room. It'll be just like we've been there! Ha rooo!
Helping HTHNBR raise money for Xia is what it was all about! THANK YOU for your generous donation!!!

"Don King"!??! Ha roo roo roo! Good one! We call that "putting our Mohawk on". :)
Thanks for the kind woos on the quilt!
Tucker: Thanx! Oh, the brush? As Ammy says, "Brushes are EVIL!" HA rooooo! Really!

Zim
The quilt looks great! Good job Dave and Dave's mom! Also, it was really nice of Amber to donate a lot of fur. I don't know if I would have been so nice. I do NOT like to be brushed. Maybe for Sitka, I could handle it though. She is a sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteKat
We love that quilt! It is gorgeous and we're sure the Sitka will love it! :)
ReplyDeleteKat: Amber said knowing it was for Sitka made it tolerable. Otherwise, she would have hidden in her secret hiding place under the dining room table.
ReplyDeleteAmici: Thank roo! We all worked hard on it!
Play bows,
Zim
That's a beautiful quilt! Your mom should start a business!
