Me and Dave, checking things out |
Dave and I looked all around out there. Don't our shadows look cool? Speaking of cool - check out the contours in this snow drift:
Snow. Lovely snow! |
Gorgeous, isn't it? The blizzard brought us that beautiful snow sculpture. It was really strange - we had huge drifts that were 3-4 feet high, then other areas were just ice! Then, of course, the ice melted ...
...and we had bare patches where you could see the grass. Check this scene in our side yard:
"Callie-Co!" |
Oh, hey! It's my friend the Calico Cat! Isn't she just the prettiest?!? I always feel serene, spending time with Callie!
"Meow, Zim!" |
She always talks to me and Mom when we're outside.
She's very talkative!
In other cat news, remember Stormy's friend, the Fluffy Black Cat? Well, guess who showed up on our back deck, asking to come in?
"Meow. Can I come in?" |
Yeah. Our deck is up one and a half floors... so she had to do a lot of climbing to get up there. Poor kit-cat! She had to be cold!!! We really don't understand leaving kit-cats or pups out in the cold! At least she could take shelter under our lower deck - there are some areas there that are more protected from the wind and cold.
Back to more serene things... and speaking of being out in the cold... Dad worked really hard digging us out after the blizzard. Like the good leader that she is, Storm went out and checked on him, to make sure he was OK!
"Are you doing OK, Dad?" |
She takes such good care of all of us! And so does Dad! He did a great job shoveling paths for us!
While I'm on a roll showing you our kit-cat pals ... guess what? We had a new friend hanging out in our yard yesterday!
"Mrrrr-ow!" |
We have no idea where she came from, but nothing makes me feel more serene than making a new friend!
Happy Sunday - and I hope you've found your Zen of Zim Zone!
Play bows,
Zim
Wow, those kitty cats are really attracted to your place. We never see so many kitties come by our house...probably because Teddy barks all nature out of our yard. That icicle picture is really pretty. That's good you can see some patches of grass here and there.
ReplyDeleteTeddy
Goodnes...you have no shortage of kitty friends do you?
ReplyDeleteThat icicle was huge! Could be a sword.
You do have some very handsome kitty neighbours!
ReplyDeleteWe love your snow drift pic with the ripples.
Also a cool icicle shot but we are more than happy for you to have the Artic weather instead of us!
Take care and keep warm
love
Martha and Bailey xx
Oh you got some realy lovely kitty visitors. I think that poor black one was probvably cold and hungry too. He was saying help let me in. Glad her could shelter under your house. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a really impressive icicle! You've got a couple of really cuty-cats hanging around!
ReplyDeleteSam
I feel giddy. Not only snow, not only you and Dave, but C.A.T.S as well.
ReplyDeleteI may be lurking on this post for a long time.
Lurking and licking my old Marvin boy lips...........
mmmmmmmm!
I promise Zimmie, I didn't tell all the cats in Kansas to come and visit you.
ReplyDeleteReally.
Huffs
You sure have a lot of kitty friends Zimmie! I think it's nice they come to visit you.
ReplyDeleteHolly
I'm sorry, Zim, those snow photos aren't very serene to me. Thanks for the prayers for me and grandma.
ReplyDeleteSnuggles,
Twix & Taffy too
We just love that picture of the icicle and the blue, blue sky behind it!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Totally feeling serene with all your cute kitty friends! You each can have your own kitty!
ReplyDeleteCalico is a tortoise shell cat, and very beautiful! I like the Black and White too. My Mom doesn't like to see these kitties outside because they could get hit by a car, or hurt by dogs that are not as evolved as your pack is! But you know what they say about Curiousity and the Cat. Gets them into trouble all the time.
ReplyDeleteCheers and hugs, Zim!
Stella
Wow! Soo many cats!
ReplyDeleteI'm all excited!
Very nice snow shots! Thanks for sharing with us! We have lots of rain here but the last two days it seems to clear and the sun's back!
Cheers,
Maxx
Wow, you guys are quite the catbassadors because cats, strangely, do not feel overly welcomed at Chez Herd. We are not sure why.
ReplyDeleteThere sure are a lot of kitty cats visiting you. It makes our mommy so sad to see animals left out in the cold so we're glad they could find some shelter from the snow under your decks. Stormy, good job keeping an eye on your dad!
ReplyDeleteHi, Zim!
ReplyDeleteThis was a serene sunday kitty edition!
Veeeery serene!
Kisses and hugs
