That's right - it's me - Zim! How did you know?!?
Hey, do you remember last year I showed you the Kansas Ocean had frozen over?!? Well, guess where I went a couple days ago? To the new ocean I discovered!!!
It's been real cold and snowy here, but once the back roads were clear, Mom and I headed out to that Tuttle Creek Ocean! It hadn't been long at all since I'd been there, but wowzers, what a big change! Check it out!
"Wowzers! It's frozen solid!" (It was really windy -- look at how it's fluffing my fluff all up!) |
As far as the eye could see, the ocean was a block of ice!
"I thought this would only happen to the Kansas Ocean!" |
It was really cool! No eagles in sight for Mom to try to photograph, but I'm not sure how they'd get any fishies out of the ocean right now anyway - they're probably out hunting somewhere else!
Play bows from the frozen ocean,
Zim
Brrrrr.. Looks furry cold!!
ReplyDeleteZim, Christopher Columbus better lookout. You are finding more stuff then him
ReplyDeleteBenny & LIly
I am cold just looking at that. Pretty cool though...
ReplyDeleteWow! It was windy! Our "ocean" didn't freeze over completely, but it was frozen at the banks and there were upside down icicles because of the lapping water. It was cool! I wish I'd gotten a picture of it.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Sure looks brrrrery cooooold!!! Do stay comfty there, Zimmie!

Hey Army Brats,
ReplyDeleteOur Bumpass Ocean froze over on the public/cool side but our side, the private/warm side never freezes over. The water temperature out of the power plant is about 112 degrees Fahrenheit and even though it runs through three cooling lagoons it's still above freezing when it joins the other side down at the dam end. But we think that Kansas probably is colder and windier than our part of Virginia. Ya'll try to stay warm and cozy.

That looks too cold! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteAmazing snow pictures, wish we had snow like that here in the UK, at least sometimes. My dog is a whippet, not a "snow dog", but he loves snow and enjoys it as much as my daughter :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to more photos of your beautiful dogs.
Didi
Wow that does look cold but how beautiful are those pictures. Cold but so blue.. Hugs GJ x
ReplyDeleteYour sky is so blue and pretty. Has been gray and gloomy around here. :(
ReplyDeleteIt must be really cold there for your ocean to freeze over!
